YEAH.
Typically when it comes to video games, the 'western' players (mostly referring to Europe, NA, etc.), they're typically beaten by the 'East.' Mostly Korea (and typically China below them). But last night, the EU team was beaten by a Brazilian team (a wild card team that hadn't one a single game up until that point) and then a NA won against a Korean team, so 2/3 of the NA teams are making it to the brackets and none of the EU teams made it. There's a bit of a rivalry between NA and EU players...so it was just so satisfying to see NA finally do well.

Then maybe, since this will be Shi's first interaction with AIDA, its plan was to eliminate Basil because her character allows for recovery from AIDA. Like...more than usual, so we have a reason why our characters specifically are thrown into the eye of the storm per se. So we can have a big dichotomy between our characters like this:

Basil = Most ideal Aura host
Shi = Most ideal AIDA host

And so things just go spiraling out of control with them in the middle of it all. More and more people are starting to find out about how AIDA is starting to infect more people, and then of the people who resist/help cure it. I don't know. Just trying to build off your idea.

Soooooooo...

I want to introduce AIDA in my response. But what can our characters technically do to it without Data Drain or being Epitaph Users? I had thought that Shi might have the ability unlocked since he hacked his weapon into the game. Being the outlaw that he is, he saw the ability and decided to just throw it into the weapon on a whim (which is a little why I made the weapon transform like it does, so if this arises it makes a little more sense...in a way). But I don't want this to be like...a re-hash, you know? That just seems too predicatable. I was also thinking maybe Shi gets infected by AIDA? I don't know, just wanted to know your thoughts before I go on with this.

It was like...the straw that broke the camel's back. The gifts themselves didn't upset me, just that you did it even after I asked you not to.

It wasn't really your fault. Any other day, I probably would've taken the gifts you sent me, but I was just really stressed out and, like I said, I ended up taking it out on you.
