Yeah, computers had much more of an "awe and mystery" around them then, even though they had less power than probably last year's iPhone.
Although, it was nice to be less connected to every little fad and meme. Remember the purple-ink ditto machines they used in grade school? I remember things like "Birth of a Candy Bar" and chain letters were circulated in purple copies. Now it's all spam mail. xD
