A Little Batty

Quest Thread - Store - Journal

-Walks over to you and bows politely- Welcome to my profile page. It would seem that you have stumbled in here by accident. No worries, for I shall be able to tell you a little about myself. There really isn't much to tell, other than the fact that I can be a bit...batty. -chuckles-

I am 30 years old and a father to a wonderful son and a sweet and loving little Paper Mache Dollfie. If you don't know what that term means, I'd suggest you look it up. She is the reason for my being and I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for her. I've been a member of gaia since '06, but had an account 2 years prior. This site is actually where I met my wife, and I owe everything to Gaiaonline. It's had its ups and down, but I've always stuck by it, and will continue to, for it holds a special place in my heart.

Currently, I share a quest thread with my wife: If you ever have time, feel free to stop by, we are on regularly, when things are too hectic. I love disturbing movies, horror movies, dark comedies, fantasy, etc.

I am an otaku and if you want to know what anime and manga I like just ask me, but I'm not a fan of random/hyper anime, nor random people. I work on gunpla and build model kits. I just started up a blog about it in my journal, so take a look if that interests you.

-Bows again very politely-

Mhmm, but since you said you guys are coming back for at least a bit, is there particular a reason for that or are you guys just less intensely busy now? Or do you see the site changing directions again?

Me too. It's okay to dislike parts of your culture and others, but people should at least be aware of different ones out there.

Yep! It was about 8 days in total -- I stayed with the rest of the conference attendees in a university dorm. It was nice experiencing a snippet of college life. The schedules were packed, but I loved the activities we did and the feeling of not wasting time. They stressed punctuality a lot so that we would get our time's worth. The people I met there were so diverse and passionate; I made quite a few friends that I'd love to keep in touch with. My group and roommates were awesome, so I feel lucky for being placed where I was. Hoooo boy I could tell you so much but then I'd be writing an essay on your profile xP Do you have any specific questions? We did building projects, engineering rotations, a product pitch, leadership workshops, lectures, and had some field trips.

Awww poor Niles D: I'm glad to hear he's doing better now. I'm curious as to why he had his teeth removed, but I already asked momma about that.

I mostly read manga because I can go at my own pace even within a chapter, and the characters and storyline are 99% of the time more detailed and (in my opinion) better. Sometimes when I can't find the manga or it doesn't have many chapters, though, I watch the anime instead. But I hardly ever finish watching a series.
As for genres... I love fantasy and sometimes school life/romance, although they're too cliche for me a lot of the times. Not really into horror or any of the creepy stuff or mecha or pure action
What about you?

And it's no problem at all~ I love talking ^^ Especially with you two <3

O: And you guys are back because you feel that disconnect has lessened or for other reasons? Either way, I'm glad to see you two back <3 I've missed you~

I hope Niles is doing well along with mommy's mother. How was your weekend? I just got back home from an engineering conference. It was very cool and I was so happy to be able to meet people from all over the world! ^^ Working in a team, learning about building techniques, and exploring different cultures was so much fun~ Hopefully I'll stay in contact with some people from the program c:

I've been doing alright. School has kept me on my toes and all. I'd really love to find a way to contact you and Mommy off of gaia though. I really miss our little talks.
I hope you and Niles and momma have been well. How're things over there?
Lately I've been really into viola and art, although I haven't done much digital art because the iPad doesn't have storage left. Hope to talk soon~~

That's good to hear Daddy~ I'm really sorry I haven't replied for while.
Of course I can tell you about my classes. ^^ Tell momma too if she wants to know? c:

At my school, we're allowed to take up to 7 periods at a time.
My first period is Chemistry. I have a really funny teacher who jokes around with us but also puts the troublemakers in their right places. His tests are hard, but he rarely gives homework so if you don't get the lesson, you better go in at lunch. It's also great because he doesn't care if you do homework in his class so long as you get the lesson.
For second period, I have English with a wonderful teacher. She's just really down to earth and practical and great at what she does. Right now we're reading A Tale of Two Cities and I like its plot. She grades her essays quite strictly though and her constant quizzes are difficult, so that lowers down the class average a lot. Since our seats aren't pre-arranged, I sit with two good friends and we always do group activities together.
I like my third period because Orchestra is a really relaxing class where we just play music or have study halls on some days. I like it especially because my school's orchestra is probably the best one in our region. First of all, we have three classes instead of the usual single class or combined class with band at other schools (even our band program is huge). In total, there are about 100 students in it. Because of this, we can separate the levels and create good orchestras because the music is suited for each group's skill level. I hope to make it to the top group next year during next week's audition.
I have Spanish 2 for my fourth period, and the teacher is very sociable and fun. She can contain the loud boys in my class even though she looks like a student herself and often jokes about it. She is the ASG adviser and gets really into events and dress-ups.
I have Algebra 2 for fifth period, and I've made some good friends in there. I like his class because I can lean against the wall and eat my lunch, plus he makes us laugh with his horrible puns and sense of humor. We have fun math projects and work days.
For sixth, I have PE. I used to have Tennis for seventh, but the season only lasts half a semester and I need PE credits. Tennis was really fun because I was on JV and I did homework during matches and the food people brought was reaaaally good. Besides that, our JV team is way better than all of the ones in our league. It might not be as fun as next year though since next year is a travel year and I might move up to Varsity. PE is really boring and tiring, but I love it because one of my best friends is in my class and a lot of days we just walk around and talk. It's really easy to get a good grade.
Lastly, I have Biology for seventh period (used to be 6th). In all her other periods, my teacher was in charge of a quiet, studious class. Guess where all the rowdy kids went? Yep, seventh. There's not a quiet day in there, and it's really fun because many of the people in there are my friends. I'm also interested in science so that makes the lesson more interesting. We're doing dissections for the last month of the school year and since we got to choose our groups, I'm in a group with friends. We dissected a worm on Friday and we'll be dissecting a fetal pig, a crayfish, and a frog (I think?) over the next three weeks.

Sorry that this was so long, I just wanted you two to know what my school life is like. ^^
