And just when I thought it couldn't get any more terrifying.

Like egyptian cotton, man.

Yours is lookin' pretty terrifying. Lead pipes and kyubes are a dangerous combination.

They do seem to have that heavy A Perfect Circle influence, but they do have their proggier moments. "Shades" was the closing track of the album (actually, there's a totally WTF hidden track at the end, but there's enough blank space between it and that and it's so different I'd probably consider it a separate song, as did the uploader). Check out songs like "Weevil Bride" and, my personal favorite, the three-song cycle "Weeble Wabble"/"Eidolon Alpha"/"Omega."

Love this band. It's a shame their lead singer left like two years ago. =3=

Slightly off-topic: do you by any chance like Riverside? I figure they'd be right up your alley.

Have you ever heard anything by Rishloo (the band I've been posting ad nauseam)?
They're actually quite similar sonically (especially their singer, though you will be able to tell them apart) to A Perfect Circle/Tool (especially on their first two CDs), so you may either enjoy or despise them on that basis.
Their lead singer left them in 2011 (iirc) though, and they're continuing on as The Ghost Apparatus, without a vocalist this time.

I feel like every Chef Goldblum review should be an opportunity for more pun.

Yeah, surprised it hasn't been taken. I guess that's the nice thing about psychobilly, it's such a gimmicky genre that that's not a whole lot of creativity with name choices. So many options.

Anyways, I've got work, so I guess I'll talk to you later, man.

Chef Goldblum would dish out the tastiest of jams.

Yeah, I dig it because it's got the working class vibe, as well as tying in with the whole undead schtick. I've got about two other people signed on to start the band with me, but finding a decent drummer is impossible. Swear the only reliable drummers in this town are part of calypso groups.

Chef Goldblum would make the best band ever.

The only one I can remember off the top of my head are The Working Stiffs for a psychobilly band, and The Metric Skeletons for an eclectic rock group. Y'know, s**t that works as a joke, but can still look serious on a label.

Guess that's the difference. Most of my friends are math/science majors. The most hardcore stuff they listen to is symphonic metal about hobbits.

Haha, it works. Memorable name at any rate. Whenever I come up with band names, they either have to be super metaphorical, or terrible puns.

I didn't get to go, but I have a friend that did. I am terrible at leaving the house and going to concerts. Always find out about them the week afterwards.

I think it's official. You have cooler friends than I do.
Gotta wonder though, where does Korean Piss Journals come from?
EXACTLY. Drugs for your ears.

Woah, hardcore. When my friends suggest creating a band, it's usually like "let's start a Raffi cover band".
PRACTICE LIKE NO TOMORROW, BECOME THE NEXT ZACH HILL.
Guh, he played with Boredoms a couple years ago. There were about ten drummers in that single show. DRUM EXPLOSION.
