I am a new member of the SCA, http://www.sca.org/ which is a non profit reenactment group dedicated to the arts and sciences of the dark ages and Renascence. Normally the focus is on Medieval Europe, but there are a few, like me, who add an Eastern influence.

I portray the daughter of a mid ranked samurai who lives in Kyoto during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.

My interests in the SCA are combat archery, and learning the history of Japan. I hope to accurately recreate a few things as they were in late 1500's Japan. Clothing, fashion, art, and tea ceremony/gambling are all on my list of things to learn.

My hope is to find like minded individuals here on Gaia, and perhaps get a few more people interested in the SCA.
