Ah, yes. Being rather close to it's characters, I had heard of the sequel. However, I must say I consider it with only the deepest disdain. I do remember Monsieur Forsyth wrote a sequel. However, this sequel claimed that Monsieur Leroux, the writer of the novel, was incorrect in his assumptions. I dislike Forsyth's careless use of the Phantom of the Opera, and will more likely than none, not attend any showing of the upcoming movie. The novel had ended with "Erik is dead," which, by all rights, should have been the end. I feel my friend's soul is being played with simply to serve the purpose of filling Monsieur Forsyth's wallet.
I know that this view is simply my own, also. I am happy to hear that a fan is willing to see all works involving our friend, Erik.
