One cannot be completely obsessed by either darkness or light. They cannot exist without each other. Without light how would one know darkness? Without darkness how would one know light? If one tries to become completely obsessed by one or the other, it will consume them without remorse.

Eins, Zwei, Drei! Live Free or Die!
Land of the Rising Sun
In the warring times of old Japan
When many an army fought man on man,
Came one day when the sun rose high
When the end of Sengoku was in the nigh.
A Shogun was to lead over all the land,
Uniting the provinces into one great band.
The money was no longer units of rice.
The law was no longer a decisive slice.
An Emperor reigned after the old Shogun
And the country remained a whole as one.
The Emperor’s idea was soon unfurled
When he cut off influence from the outer world.
From outer influence, Japan was free
But a pillar of black smoke came from the sea.
Twas a steamship from a distant land
That wanted to trade with humble Japan.
The Emperor declined but later agreed.
From a stagnant culture Japan was freed!
The Rising Sun land was quickly advanced
And Japan soon came to a fighting stance.
From Russia with hate came a fleet of boats
But Japan responded and sunk Russia’s hopes.
Japan was a formidable fighting force
And was made even stronger by the iron horse.
With the turn of the century came another age
And Japan was a leading role on the stage.
This new age was one of World Wars.
And Japan wanted a military that above all soars.
A quarter of a century had come and passed.
But the Japanese army was there to last.
The supplies were low on the island land,
So the Emperor made the borders expand.
In Nineteen Hundred and Forty-One
Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and killed mothers’ sons.
Japan built battleships big and strong
But ironically they didn’t last very long.
In Nineteen Hundred and Forty-Five
Japan had a feeling they wouldn’t survive.
Great bombs were dropped from planes that soar
So Japan surrendered and ended the war.
Japan changed into a land of the free
And the Empire changed to a democracy.
Japan has changed from its ancient ways
And resembles little from its ancient days.
Over the years Japan’s modernized
And its population has greatly increased in size.
Of all of the countries there isn’t one
That is very much like the Land of the Rising Sun.
