About

Hey all! Name’s Ren Tohimaru, but you can just call me Ren. I guess since this is an about me section I have to actually talk about me…oh well. We’ll see how it goes. If I miss something and you have a question, feel free to drop me a message, and I’ll be happy to answer!

First off, Star Wars is my religion. No joke, I actually believe in the Force, and the storyline itself serves as something of a gospel to me. If you’re wondering how the hell I get off on this, just look up a 6-part video documentary, “The Power of Myth”, sponsored by PBS with Bill Moyers and Joseph Campbell-it’s great edification that explains it all and more! I used to align with Sith beliefs, but have shifted to align with Jedi beliefs and Mandalorian beliefs (seriously, they’re better than Spartans!).

Educationally, I am studying Veterinary medicine. Currently I’m working on becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), and am planning on getting my doctorate in veterinary medicine afterward (VMD). After that, or as my pre-vet, I plan to study biology, working my way up to at least a BS.
Hobby-wise, I’m a nerd who spends way too much time watching TV and sitting on a computer, but I also love the outdoors, namely hiking and cycling, I love to read when my face isn’t glued to a screen, and I love food and sleep.

that's a good question. see, I do believe that ultimately, all things stem from a single Source. call it God, if you will, or Tao, or just The Force. there is wisdom to be had in the Sith, but they have an extreme perception. there is wisdom to be had in the Jedi, though you have to perceive it wisely as well. the Mandalorians have a wisdom of their own, and so do the Nightsisters. the Jensaarai are an example of successfully blended Sith and Jedi beliefs.

interestingly, I have also started with a focus on Sith and Mandalorian views, as well as the Order of Revan's teachings, and have since allowed myself to embrace Jedi teachings. specifically those of the likes of Yoda, Qinlan Vos, Gnos Dural, and my favourite Jedi of all, Odan-Ur. I have also enjoyed the teachings of Mother Talzin, and incorporated them, and have tried studying more about the Aing-Tii, as well as the Jensaarai.
