Yeah in a group I'm sure insects are far more productive.
The process of evolution is so complex.
I think in a group is where it starts though, others pick up on the behavior of other members in the group and create a new culture in chimp societies.
I'm not sure how it works for insects but probably it's similar.

I feel they are far more efficient as a species than we are. While they have a job and do it well and aim for a common goal constantly, we don't. I feel that we're more like wolves and other pack animals though.

huh, haha that's an interesting concept and I can definitely see the comparison that's going on here. While we're not as hive-minded as those insects we still managed to push our species to the top.
