Interesting. I actually bought technolyze just havent watched it yet. Now ill have to make time. Ergo proxy is in my top 3 for sure. What is wolfs rain like?
I hear ya dude. I'm done with my master's degree this December and to be honest, I don't know if I want to even pursue a PhD. I feel pretty burnt out as it is between school and work. What program are you entering?
I'm not just saying this just to say it, but I think you have a great disposition for a psychologist, haha. You strike me as a very nurturing individual. And I can relate to you in that I was very sheltered. When I started making money, I figured the best way for me to ameliorate this was to move out. Did that for a while, aaaaaaand I was the brokest I'd ever been in my entire life so I moved back home, lol. I guess the moral of the story is nothing before its time, huh.
As for your commentary on women, I have this to say: such is the nature of human beings. We're weird. For every complaint you have about women and how strange they are, there's a complementary complaint about men. Guys say they're simple, but they play just as many games as women. Having said that, I have witnessed that awkward eye-balling game firsthand. It's endearing, I think. Personally, I'm not really the type to play games, so I have no insight into why those girls were staring at you like that. But I'll assume they were checking you out, since they weren't laughing at you or anything? Like OMG LOOK AT THIS HANDSOME YOUNG LAD I CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF HIM WOW SUCH BEAUTY.
No, you didn't bore me at all. I actually enjoyed reading that quite a bit, it was encouraging. It's really an awkward time in life and I suppose that's something we all need to accept and even embrace. I'm still just trying to find that balance between work and play.
So I'll flip the spotlight around on you: how is your life? Have you found that balance yet? Does the prospective "real world" make you anxious?
The big 2-4, a year away from the big 2-5, 5 years away from the big 3-0. That's literally how I see things, despite the fact that I know I'm still young and in the "peak of [my] physical and sexual prowess" haha. I just think my problem is that I don't feel my age. Sometimes I still feel like a teenager and wish I were one. Less responsibilities and s**t. Meh.
Birthdays for me aren't that big a deal anymore either. I wouldn't care if I didn't do anything or get any presents. I do have some plans though. I'll be going to a hookah bar w/a few friends and my sister on Saturday so that should be fun. And Sunday my mom's taking me to dinner.
