Don't worry Sarah! I know that you're very busy and that, if you don't reply, it's not on purpose smile How's the puppy? Is he growing well?
Did you see the ending of Aria Dannata? The poses are beautiful but I'm so disappointed that it's already finished! I think it's the EI with less poses that I've ever seen... There're older EIs with more than two times the number of poses! Yet another sign of Gaia's decadence... rolleyes
Hi Sarah heart
Those two announcements have, in my opinion, both bright and shadowy sides. I'm not totally happy with them. I understand that AtA has its problems. I think it was already obsolete before all this turmoil started. It's just not an adequate instrument of direct interaction in a site that counts thousands of users logged in at the same time. The protests have just shown its limits. So, I agree that they need something new. Still, I think that it's wrong to discontinue AtA until the new way(s) of interaction are ready and operative.
About the "censorhip", I can partly confirm. One of my posts has been deleted because there was the COO's name in something I quoted from another user. I remember in ToS there's something about not revealing personal informations of other users, still this hardly applies to the case... The CEO has a gaia account, OK, but the COO? It's also hard to see them as "staff". Also, their names are public already, everyone can google search for them. The CEO's name has been revealed when he was nominated, in a welcome thread written by Sisky (if I'm right). Of course, that thread has been deleted as well, so people is also telling they're covering evidences.
I'm fine with not naming them. I'm also fine with keeping things on a level of decency. Criticizing (better if motivated) is alright, calling names and the such is not.
Also, I've read that some topics were moved from SF to CB without apparent good reason, but I can't say for sure (maybe they really didn't belong to feedback even if they contained rants against staff and the such).
Yesterday I've started to see things under a slightly different light, while reasoning with a dev about the guilds issue and the first of the two announcements kind of confirmed my idea, still I prefer to keep it for myself since it's only my speculation and letting a new voice spread would change nothing for good. I still don't agree with many of the things they've done lately but at least now I can partly understand the reasons behind their choices. It's heartbreaking.
About guilds: I've put a new thread about ideas for their update in the Site Feedback forum. I'd be pleased to know your opinion heart
Thnx for buying! As much as I would like you to buy all the other items, I won't force you because you might not need them.
But still, I appreciate your business! Please come again! ~(owo~) ~(owo)~ (~owo)~
You know I tend to be negative by nature... I'm very worried as well. I can only see possible negative future outcomes, like the prices of regular cash shop items being increased, most featrures becoming cash-only, etc. I don't think we'll ever be back to past. It's ok to be prepared for changes, it'ok that things don't stay always the same... but if I'll end up hating the new Gaia, I'll move. It's very bad, since I was growing fond of it. Do you know I closed my Facebook account some weeks ago? But I kept Gaia. And now, I'm not sure how much more I will stay here. Sometimes the future is similar to the past: maybe there's no online community in my future, who knows?
