Qel's daily Q's (and other stuff)

But really they're random spurts on life and stuff

Who I am

"Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there, with open arms and open eyes yeah"
-Incubus (my frikkin favourite band)

Hey. Hi there. Nice to see you reading this.
It's very awesome and I appreciate it that you're interested about me.
But I'm afraid I'm not too special.
Honestly, I'm just a regular person. Actually-
An ordinary, everyday superhero. Sorry, couldn't help it.

But to be fair to those of you who are taking the time to read this, I'll open up and tell a little bit.
I'm a girl+Asian. Wait, don't get bored yet.
I like mythology, folklore, fairytale, action, adventure and I watch TV. Honestly, my TV preferences vary, so I watch each and everything. (If you're really curious, I'm currently addicted to OUAT, BatB, HIMYM, Teen Wolf, TWD and Arrow. I will forever love BTVS and all things in the Whedonverse.)
I love my video games, but who doesn't?! I play The Sims 3 mostly and I'm currently obsessing about the MMO game The Secret World. Unfortunately, I don't own the game (isn't it saddening?).
I'm a fan of a few anime/manga, really should open up my interests, but for the sake of it I'm currently addicted to Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan.

I dunno. That's my blurb.

"You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants a magical solution to their problem, and everyone refuses to believe in magic."
-Sebastian Stan, Mad Hatter
He's sexy and he knows it.

What do you say?!

Don't worry about it, it's cool. I just had my first day at a new job. I'm glad my classes end next week because I had to come in at 5am this morning and didn't get off until 2pm. And tomorrow I go in at 3am and I'm not getting off until 1pm. So my life right now will probably consist of work and sleep and naps. Speaking of which, my alarm is set for 4hrs from now. I wish I could sleep....

I'm also extremely immature and the loving douche bag of my family of friends (but I've known them for almost 10 years so I can get away with it) I would say that I do what you do with biology with psychology but my friends have building a "case file" on me for almost 10 years. Mentally, of course, and apparently it had to be split into two brains. You could imagine how big my ego swelled up.

Be careful with Battlestar Galactica. It's a really great show to watch. But there are so many feels in that series and so many characters to feel feels from that it might burn you out. I would watch it for 6-12hrs straight and ....yeah, don't do that. You will love it though, if you like Firefly.

I love Whedon! I've watched: Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, and Firefly....plus the Avengers. Not sure if that counts. I know there's more to the Whedonverse but I've only been watching what's on Netflix sweatdrop

My writing is really different from how I am in real life. I'm really immature but I keep it funny. I've grown out of my cuteness. That's how I got away with things with my friends. So now I'm just extremely truthful but like a mad scientist. And because I like psychology I use them in social experiments (I tell them first when they're not really listening though).

I'll check it out anyways. I have some time before class tomorrow. I like new things.

And Battlestar Galactica is like Firefly if it were longer. But since the beauty of Joss Whedon's work is always cut short (BTVS, Angel, Dollhouse) I relied on BG to give me what I wanted out of a good sci-fi show. It's got romance, action, adventure, drama, and beautiful people. Great story too. I was hooked after the first episode.

I'm continuously blown away the more you tell me about yourself. Mainly your taste in music. You seem like you should be a little older....or that might be me wishing you were older sweatdrop

I"ll check out Beauty and the Beast. I think I saw it on Netflix. I'm not a big fan of Kristen K. though I did like Smallville (mainly because Erica Durance as Lois). I'm not usually into romance shows. I like the romance to be there but I love something more important happening in the show to where you just can't help but want them to be together. Kind of like Battlestar Galactica. I refused to watch it for years and when I finally did cave in, it became my favorite. All day, every day, I was on Netflix watching this show.

Awesome! Im always a little shy about going up there to sing. My friends usually drag me up there to sing them. Im really good at singing songs that sound like NSync or any other boy band. We usually sing Linkin Park or Journey. I sing in my car and in the shower all the time. Three Days Grace and Panic at the Disco. Though Im no American Idol, I can sing if I really like the song. I usually just match my voice to the singers voice.

Theres a Beauty and the Beast TV show? Im going to have to try that out.

And you like older music too? Thats awesome. I really like music from the 50s and 60s. I played the game Mafia 2 and just fell in love with the music. That album was a must get for me.
King Ursa Major Report | 02/11/2013 5:48 pm
YES THE CRANBERRIES! Me and my friend sing that song every time we go to karaoke. Once a week xd I tend to flock around girls who like to talk a lot only to hear their voices. There's something addictive about it (I know that's weird, not trying to be a creeper lol).

The Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters in the show. Mainly because my favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. I have it on blu-ray and feel the need to watch it every year. eek But don't tell anyone....

I need to find an archery club. Or find a way to take lessons, or even try just teaching myself. I love the skill behind it. It just seems like there's so much discipline and concentration behind it. I do have some strange obsession with archers where I'm always on the side of or attracted to that archer. I can't really explain it better than that.

I'm not very current with music nowadays. I did listen to JT's Lovestoned album a lot. I think that was it. I mainly rely on Pandora or iHeartRadio to introduce to new music. I hate the radio because I'm constantly listening to crappy music over and over and over again (not all of it is crappy though). I mainly listen to my iPod. I've got songs that's been on there since 2004. Sophomore year of high school. And saying that makes me feel old emo

Please, talk all you want. I'm actually enjoying it. smile

If you ever play Guild Wars 2 let me know. It's really fun and I'd like to play an MMO with you sometime. Are you more the type for physical combat, long range, or magical? Or all-around? I'm more physical combat and archery.

My hormones usually go into overdrive when I see Red or Mulan. My heart almost jumped out of my chest when Mulan appeared and almost every time I see Red.
And that Pretty Little Liars episode was kind of freaky. I have a personal vendetta against dolls....they really creep me out sweatdrop There's just something about their blank, soulless expressions that get to me. *shivers*

I'm always into Rock of any kind. And I do remember listening to Incubus back then, not so much now. But I'll try them out again. I think I have some iTunes money left. My selection actually varies from NSync to Blink 182, and from Skrillex to DJ Tiesto (love techno and some dubsteb), with a little Rap and R&B. Only recently got into Rap and R&B probably a couple years ago. My favorite band is Cauterize. They have a song titled Closer and that was my anthem for the longest time. I have a new anthem titled Comeback by Redlight King. It's off Marvel's Avengers Assemble Soundtrack. It really summarizes my current situations in life. It's a really good song. I also love bands with a female lead singer like Porcelain and the Tramps and The Pretty Reckless. I love hearing a female's voice singing. Classical music is also rising the charts with me. One of the groups, Il Divo, is actually going to be playing in concert in a few months and I'm too excited. But no job crying

Yeah really. You're the first person I've actually chatted this much with. Kudos to you. I'm usually more difficult to get to open up.
King Ursa Major Report | 02/09/2013 7:54 pm
They've made waaaay too many .Hack// anime. So many different series. I personally love .Hack//Roots. Good luck though!

And yeah, I've gained some confidence through playing MMOs too. I'm actually trying to force myself into situations to be more social in real life. Somewhat working.

And yes! I love Once Upon a Time. I'm a big Disney fan. Also...........I'm a fan of Pretty Little Liars.... emo I'm addicted. It's a great mystery show.

I think we'd like some of the same music. I've tried to put up a playlist but I'm still new this site a little. Any music suggestions?

I'm actually surprised at how much we have in common too. I never get this when first talking to someone.
King Ursa Major Report | 02/09/2013 6:51 pm
Lead models and poster idols. I love that.

And exactly! I usually look up the new anime seasons coming out. And I knew instantly that I needed to watch it. I fell in love with .Hack//Sign and the other series (I even played the 7 games that came out on the PS2, annnnnd there's goes my nerdism) And Runescape was my first. I was blown away by actually being able to actually talk to people while playing. I've been in love ever since I got my first job and bought a decent laptop to play MMOs on (my family's PC took almost 15min to open up a folder)

I'm usually on the search for F2P MMO's. I played Perfect World International for the longest time until Guild Wars 2 came out.
King Ursa Major Report | 02/09/2013 6:12 pm
I can't believe how awesome you are. Every sentence just added to your awesomeness.

SAO season 2 was pretty good, but the first season was much better. They ended it after the second season though. I've heard, in the manga, there's 3 more story arcs. But I can't read manga anymore.

I'm the same way about comics but I prefer DC. I read both and have my fair share of problems with both DC and Marvel but they're comics. I can't help but enjoy them.

I'm getting less into video games on the consoles and more into PC gaming actually. I'm starting to love MMOs again after I don't know how many years. Once I get a job again, I plan on saving up for an actual PC instead of playing everything on a laptop. sweatdrop

Awesome passage on your profile. I think you deserve a superhero name.
