The whole losing sequence just made me want to cry. IT WAS SO SAD, AND SO TRUE. And I don't even play sports. The only competitive thing I did was marching band, which isn't quite as direct-battle-versus-worthy-opponent and more try your best and get judged. But still. I felt so bad for those two and all of the other "losers" they showed. crying
They seem to be singling out the four characters from each school (our main four from the previous season, then Rin and Nitori, recurring, with the addition of a new antagonistic-sort and yet another orange-haired guy to hit on Gou), so I figure Nitori has a good shot at sticking around for the rest and/or having a (heartbreaking) storyline. It looks as if the four-person relay is going to be a HUGE theme, so it makes sense to have two sets of four and do lots of comparing/contrasting.
And I'd totally forgotten about Riko, but you're right, they did exactly the same thing. xD That made me giggle.
...I just attempted to imagine the Doctor having a "training montage" in the form of sports anime. The incarnation of the Doctor that music came from looks like this and is very much adorkable, so that makes it extra hilarious.
Oh Rei. That boy. I knew he was going off working on his swimming, but I didn't know he was doing it with Rin, and that just made it all the more adorable.
Huh, I guess that does make sense about your art. It is kind of nice when people like something enough to be inspired by it. It still sucks when they don't credit you for it, though.
I don't think Spartacus would be the same uncensored. xD I mean, it would have a completely different flavor...certainly not as gritty. If you cut out all of the sex and violence, there wouldn't be a lot left...just...male bonding scenes that wouldn't make sense out of the context of violence and slavery? It probably could be done, but it would be rather different. Like, turn Spartacus into a sports anime.
I'd definitely feel that way (or even more militant) if people were using anything I had created without asking permission. One time someone on Gaia made a profile with two "characters" almost like Rabbit and Coyote, and they copied phrases from R&C's profile almost word for word. It was really bizarre. I told them that it was flattering to be imitated but that it's better if they come up with their own stuff (I think that's how I phrased it, anyway...I tried to block it from my memory, so it's a bit fuzzy). On the one hand, it's a HUGE compliment that people like your stuff enough to use it on their profiles/for their icons/etc. On the other hand, just seeing it out there usurped and uncredited makes one feel rather icky, like a piece of you has been stolen and turned into something you don't know or recognize any more. >.> I'm glad you're not lumping me in with everyone else, but your friends should set a good example, too! Otherwise someone might point out that, hey, that person's using your art uncredited, why not go after them? or something like that.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has really grown on me, so enjoy watching the films with your mom! They are a lot of fun. I should rewatch them all again sometime.
And ha, I wouldn't want to watch Spartacus with my parents. It would be...awkward. >.> I DO think they would like the characters, but the copious amounts of blood/gore/sex might be a bit much for them.
I WILL STILL ASK IN THE FUTURE and will try to only stick to art you have made of my characters. >.> I FEEL HORRIBLE. I also need to figure out my obsolete and unused Tumblr page so that I can put something on there linking to your art blog. Tips for those who fail at Tumblr?
Oh, in the PM where I was telling you about my friend? I also told her she needed to watch Spartacus. She's a history major who LOVES Greco-Roman stuff. I told her I didn't know if it was entirely historically accurate but that from what I know of what she likes, it pretty much hits all of her buttons. Hopefully she will watch it so that YET SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE CAN BE RUINED. (I am such a good friend.) I am also trying to suck her into Pedal Hell, so.
I KNEW THE DEATHS WERE COMING. I KNEW IT, BUT STILL. GAH, (almost) EVERYONE DIED! The death scenes were surprisingly good, too (in terms of filming, acting, etc.) - they could have been really corny, but they were moving instead. HAVE I MENTIONED HOW FULL OF GRATITUDE I AM THAT AGRON AND NASIR SURVIVED, THOUGH?
I...had actually forgotten it was Wednesday until you mentioned it. >.> I think it's because I had a meeting today that I normally have on Tuesdays. BUT I WATCHED THE FREE! BOTH EPISODES. It was good! I see we have a new antagonist and the ho yay is at its regular levels. Also, that ending. *giggle*
I am in the middle of the last episode PROBABLY RIGHT BEFORE EVERYONE DIES HORRIBLY so I decided to take a short break and get on Gaia before I spend the rest of the night sobbing. THE ONLY THING THAT IS KEEPING ME GOING IS KNOWING THAT AGRON AND NASIR SURVIVE. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I AM STILL WATCHING THIS ANGST FEST.
Gaaaaaaahhhhh, I don't want to watch them all die. But I do. But....aaaaaahhhhhhh.
I will need some Free! after all of this angst.
Also, I would never, ever watch Spartacus with my grandmother. Ever.
