AboutMy name is Prue. Currently, I'm a Gaia Moderator. My role on Gaia mostly involves handling Terms of Service Violations. I joined Gaia in 2003 and became an active user sometime in 2005.
If you have questions, you are more than welcome to ask and I will do what I can to point you in the right direction. Please just be sure to send such matters to my inbox, and refrain from leaving them in my comments. I'm also unable to respond to all private messages at once. If I haven't responded to your inquiry within a week or so feel free to send me a new pm, as it's quite possible it had gotten lost.
Please don't send me random friend requests. I prefer getting to know you a bit before I plop you onto my friends list.
Before you PM me, it may be helpful to read over the following:
Mini Moderator FAQ:
Help! Someone Asked for my Password!
If it was by PM, use the Report link (which is located at the end of the button rows below and above the PM) to report it.
If you gave your password, change it right away! There is still a chance the hacker did not yet get around to you. I also recommend checking to make sure your email is the same just to be safe.
Do not fill a scam or hack report form for this unless you did give out your password and ended up being hacked for real.
Please remember that asking for someone's password is not allowed on Gaia.
If they say they are a moderator or admin or in some other way affiliated with Gaia, they are lying. We don't need your password, ever.
How do I know someone is a real mod?
You can identify moderators and other Gaia staff by the colour of their usernames: This Announcement lists all the official colors.
Moderators on Gaia have green usernames and a title underneath their name. Admins are yellow, forum assistants are pink and all other staff including artists and developers are brown. You can check out the before mentioned link for a more detailed analysis of what each role does.
How can I become a moderator?
For legal reasons you need to be at least 18 years of age to apply to become a moderator on Gaia. You also need to have a decent number of non spammed posts, have not collected too many warnings within the last 6 months, and your account must be at least 6 months old.
For more information and the actual application link, read carefully through the
Mod Application FAQ
Why was my signature disabled?
Usually the notification message lists the reason why your signature was disabled. You can also PM a moderator to ask for clarification. Typically it's because it exceeded the 100k byte limits, but it may also be because it contained content inappropriate for Gaia
Help! I've been hacked or scammed and I don't know what to do!
You'll need to file hack or scam report. You can find these links at the bottom of the main forum index. I'll also link them here for your convenience
Report a Hacking
Report a Scamming

I want to appeal my ban! It was unfair!
It's possible you were unfairly banned. Mods make mistakes, we aren't robots! You'll need to file a ticket with the help center. Site Moderators do not handle ban appeals. Go to the bottom of the main forum index and click on "Contact Us". This will take you to the help center. Here, you can post a ticket appealing your ban. PMing us will not get your ticket moved to the front of the queue. You aren't a special butterfly, you have to wait like everyone else. =p
BUT HOW LONG UNTIL....
Nope! Wait We will get to it as soon as possible
Yikes~! I mispriced an item. What do I do?
First things first, Gaia has multiple confirmation screens for a reason. You need to be reviewing this content before you submit it. With that said, Gaia will typically allow you ONE misprice on your account where you can get the item recovered. You can file a ticket requesting your mispriced item back through the contact us link at the bottom of the main forum index. I want to stress there is still no guarantee your item will be recovered to you, but it is worth a shot.
