My username, as you can see, is
Ovi. No, it doesn't have any real meaning, but I guess I decided I liked it one day and ran with it. Short, simple, has a nice ring to it. It kind of has roots in the word 'egg', which is the place where all life starts from. But anyway, just call me Ovi.
About me, well my name is Andrew and I'm 22 years old. I've been visiting Gaia since
July 18th, 2003, according to what remains of my profile information for my original username,
DarknessFighter. I created this username on
November 7th, 2004 and it has been my permanent Gaia Online account ever since.
I actually havent visited Gaia for a few years (I think
2007 was the last time I was really into checking out the site last), but I recently started coming back to the site and enjoying its
memorable and nostalgic atmosphere.
What I like to do on the site... Well, the main aspect of Gaia that really drew me in to begin with was the whole
avatar system. Nothing else out there even comes close to it, Gaia was the first to do something like this on such a large scale. I'm
not very into the social aspect of Gaia, but I enjoy just
clicking around the site and
customizing my character.
Most of the time I go to the
Marketplace to buy and sell items. I enjoy some of the games on this site quite a bit, in particular
Jigsaw Puzzles,
Slots and
Fishing. I rarely, but sometimes, post in the forums and make blog entries. I do make pretty good use of my
Wishlist lately, and try to keep it current.
I am a collector of certain
Angellic items on Gaia. I would also like to obtain the
Ancient Katana again but that isn't as important right now. For the most part, this is a pretty casual, relaxing pasttime for me and I won't spend all day everyday trying to obtain highly overpriced digital images.
I'm not sure if I'll make any new buddies here, but perhaps if someone wants to chat while playing a game or something then I'll have myself some acquaintences. I may not be the most knowledgeable person in the world, but I'd like to think that I have something to offer if anyone has anything they wanna talk about.
