Ooooh, that tail would look great in independence blue! It's definitely cool to get a darker looking mertail to contrast with the sparkly, bright ones we usually get.

I'm at oldbie at this point in the site (I was here when there were no mertails!) so I had a lot of time and opportunities to collect mertails. For a while I had every tail on the site, but then they started to get really nuts with item releases, along with special and exclusive and limited items. Combine that with the hyperinflation and it got hard to keep up. But I get what I can, and I do my best to keep up with new releases. Especially since you don't know if/when an item is gonna get rereleased, so it's good to try and get them early on. I picked up Onyx Sea Princess early on because they took forever in rereleasing Pearl (or was it Silver?) Sea Princess and I knew that Onyx wouldn't get rereleased for a long time either. (I was quick to pick up the Pearl/Silver rerelease for the same reason) I'm STILL waiting for Lorelei's Call, and I know multiple other users who want it too.

I got lucky with the Fiji item. I wanted it REALLY BAD (been wanting a kelp forest background for years!) but it was a rare drop. I decided to buy a Gatcha, not expecting to get the item but hoping I could at least sell the prize for a bit... And I got it! I never win anything good on those stupid Gatchas (which is why I normally don't buy them) so I was super happy. Hopefully the Gatcha will get rereleased often enough to knock the price down a bit.

I'm really hoping they'll make more recolors, at least. We got one so far, I bought it early so I wouldn't have to pay much. I'd really like to see a "tropical" recolor with bright blue water and bright green kelp, that would be so pretty. It would also look cool with a frozen/polar or wishful color scheme. Really, they need to release more underwater backgrounds in general.

If there's ever a mertail/mermaid item you need and you can't get ahold of it in time, feel free to ask if I have one I can lend to you. I have a big collection of mertails and other aquatic items.

Aw, your mermaid ninja is better than mine! On that note, it's pretty cool to find someone else who tries to enter mermaids as much as possible. Like you, I enjoy the challenge of trying to make it work with different themes. Good luck!
