I had ignored all there warnings. They had warned me he was 'weird' and 'different'. I should have listened, I realize that now.

_____"Hi Blake!" I greeted him, noticing how he was wearing all black, again. "Hello Evelyn." he said formally, linking arms with me. I grinned at him widely while he just gave me a mere smile. I narrowed my eyes at him, but gave up. I couldn't stay mad at him for even a second. "Where to?" I asked, looking at the mall-map. "Hm. . ." he murmured, thoughtfully. He took a minute looking at the map and finally decided, "Book-A-Mania." "Sweeeet." I replied, loving all bookstores. This mall just happened to have built a Book-A-Mania a couple weeks ago, which was amazing. As we walked to the bookstore, I kept glancing over at him. He was always staring straight ahead, an odd look on his face.
_____"Somethin' bothering you?" I asked him, a puzzled look overcoming my face. He seemed as if in a daze, he didn't listen, not even acknowledged my question. His legs were moving almost mechanically. I abruptly stopped walking and he was immediately snapped out of his daze. "Something wrong?" he asked me in a thoughtful tone, as always. I gawked at him. "Excuse me, yes, I asked you a question." He looked at me, a confused look came across his face then passed almost the second it appeared. "Repeat it?" I glared at him, irritatingly answering him, "Never mind, god. Why did you even want to come to the mall with me if you were going to act like this?"
_____He shook his head, his black hair flopping all over the place. "I'm deep in thought?" He phrased it as a question, as if trying to answer that himself. "What. Is. Wrong. With. You?" I asked, clenched teeth, tears in my eyes.
_____"Nothing. Unless, you count being immortal as being something 'wrong' with me. Which, I guess it is to a mortal. But, to me, it's just as normal to me as it is being human to you." Blake answered, shrugging.
_____After that, my life was never the same.

_____I'd almost forgotten the fact that my best friend was immortal, until he proposed an offer to me. "Evelyn, would you like to become immortal too?" he asked me when we were alone at my house. I was...shocked? No, I was more than shocked. Become immortal? And what would that mean, leaving my family? "W-what?" I whispered. "What would that m-mean?" I stuttered, beginning to shake. I took a step back and looked at him. "Well, you'd have to leave your family, and run away with me." he smiled. To him, this was the best idea ever. Yeah, because he didn't have anything left here except me.
_____"I...I.." I tried to get out. I shook my head, trying again, "I can't. I'm sorry. No. I love you, Blake. However, I'm not ready to leave my family..." I said. Confusion which passed to deep sadness, which then passed to anger crossed his face. "Fine, your loss." he said, he walked up to me and squeezed my wrist so hard, I heard a snap. A searing pain entered my wrist. "Tend to that quick." Blake whispered menacingly. "Blake!" I manage to yell out as the pain spread, and slowly dissolved into a less searing pain. But he was already gone.
