Oh, just...bloody thoughtlessness. The ball is this weekend, and Falconnie thought her ghoulfriend Anna couldn't make it, so she had a terrible scene and a crying jag, so I offered to go as her frienddate. I had my mum post me my armour and got my fanciest dress for the ball and everything...and then when Falconnie finally showed up at my door, she had Anna with her! I was SO mortalfied! They wanted to bring me with as a pityfrienddate third wheel. Utterly embarrassing, so I declined to attend with them. If I had known ahead of time, I could have arranged my own escort, but now Manny has double Deathtention and everyone else is attached. I could just undie.
