held together with string and faith
it moves in a motion unsettling
looking for something missing
rattling and shaking in the wind
inside it's chest glows a light
a soft red crystal
held in a jar so tight
its heart
broken and fragmented
ever splintering
turning to sand
it hurts him
this scarecrow
he seeks to find someone
someone who will hold on to it for him
to hold and cherish
to stop the breaking
to love him for the scarecrow he is
