“Why are you so sad?” a young girl asked her friend.
The boy shook his head, “She cheated on me…”
She looked at him for a while before speaking again, taking in his appearance. His medium length pitch black hair, dark, sad eyes, strong jaw, tanned skin, muscled arms…How could she? How dare she throw away something this beautiful and serene?
“It’s beyond me how she can live with herself for doing it.”
“Why do you say that?” he replied with a half-hearted laugh.
Because you’re too wonderful of a person to do that to. You’re everything I’ve every dreamed of. You’re…you. Simplicity. Life itself.
“You’re just so awesome. She had no idea what she had, she didn’t take the time to figure it out. She just threw you away. I personally don’t know how she did it.”
He looked at her in amazement. She smiled like a friend to him, a warm gentle smile, “You really think so?”
“Of course!” I love you, damnit! Not her! She never did, but always, always me. It was me who was there for you, not her. She’s not worthy of your love! She screamed in her head, she turned away so he didn’t see her disgusted look.
He smiled back now, “Thanks, you’ve cheered me up a little bit. Wanna go get some coffee?”
“What are friends for, eh?” she laughed and watched him get up then got up herself, another day will go by with his ignorance of her love for him. Maybe weeks, months, even years may go by, he’ll never know. She doesn’t have the courage to tell him. Someday she will though. The courage to tell him everything. Spill. Let out. Then she’ll kiss him. And if he doesn’t feel the same way, she’ll still be there for him. Through thick and thin. Good and bad. Until forever comes, she’ll love him.
