When Yuuki was small, she didn't know that she was different. She
only knew that she was alone.
She had no family. She had
no friends. And nobody wanted her.

Her caretaker was nice enough.
He gave her food and water.
He gave her a bed. He gave
her a pat on the head when she
pleased him. But Yuuki was never
treated the same as the
other children in the orphanage.

She was always kept indoors at night,
never understanding why. One night,
she broke out. She cried out in pain
when she felt the light of the full
moon upon her. She felt as if she was
being ripped apart. Running back
inside, Yuuki was greeted with screams.
Her caretaker threw her outside,
yelling to never come back. She ran,
tears in her eyes, to her sanctuary.
The water was crystal clear as it
flowed down the creek. She saw her
reflection in the water and shouted
out in shock. "I'm a monster."

Now, Yuuki's older and she has learned alot about
her instinctive nature. On a full moon, she turns into
an animal, covered head to toe in fur but only if
she's outside. On any other night, she morphs into
a different kind of creature. One of fantasy.

"I remember nothing of my life before
the orphanage. I dont know what did this to me.
However, I plan to find out, one way or another."

Yuuki thought she was
alone. She made due
on her own. That was
all She had ever known.
But now, she has a mission.
A mission that will
put her life on the line.

"I have to fight to survive."

In her solitude, Yuuki acquired many talents. Having perfected
her transformation, she no longer feels the pain. She has mastered
many weapons, including the staff and bow. And she has learned the
majesty of stealth. I have nothing to live for, yet I go on, driven
only by my desire for knowledge.

She had yet to discover what she was. At first glance,
people mistake her for a morph. I wish I was. I can't
control when I transform or into what. I've wondered if
I was a mutant. After much research, that theory too, was
discarded. She came across much ancient folklore. Yuuki read
one myth about a werewolf. Thats when it clicked.
"...Full moon... I mustve been bitten before the orphanage."

She walked home from the library in
wonder. The sky seemed to mourn that
day. A downpour soon left her drenched.
She entered her home to be greeted with
an unfamiliar scent. Her fur stood on
end as Yuuki searched for the intruder.

Soon enough, it found her.
"Good afternoon."
She spun around only to be face to face with another person.
"Who... Who are you? and what the hell are you doing in my house!?!"
He smiled as he took Yuuki's hand in his own and brought it up to his mouth.
"It has been far too long, my sister."
Yuuki stood there, dumbfounded as he continued on.
"Of course you don't remember me"
He shook his head sadly as he grinned.
"We were in the same litter all those years ago. I'm your elder brother,
Kenji. When we were just kits, Mother took us for a walk in the park.
This man... fell from the sky and took you. Now, I am trained, to fight his
kind. ...I spent years searching for you. After hearing the rumors, I came
to this town, hoping to find you. And here you are."
He stepped forward and embraced her with tears in his eyes.
I took in the reality of the situation. I had a brother, a mother,
a family. Could I handle it though? I was kidnapped by some kind
of flying man. What did that mean? It was all too much for Yuuki to take. She fainted in Kenji's arms.

Yuuki awoke on her bed, aching everywhere. she sat up and placed her head in her hands. Tears rolled down her face. Everything I had ever known was a lie. I wasn't alone. I had a family. With a sudden realization, Yuuki's eyes snapped open with shock. She jumped off her bed, throwing the covers to the floor. Flying through the door, she came to a sudden halt. The house was quiet. She rounded the corner to the living room and gasped in shock. All the furniture was overturned and there were puddles of blood scattered upon the floor. Lightning struck outside the window and lit the room. It looked like a scene straight out of a horror movie. What happened here? Yuuki ran frantically around the house in search of Kenji, but he was nowhere to be found. He was gone. Yuuki closed her eyes, clenched her fists and trembled as she stood in the midst of the wreckage. Anger filling her small body, she darted outside into the night. She transformed as she took to the sky. I will find my brother if it's the last thing I do.

years to find her.
Now, he's missing.
