My name is Ashley. I've been on and off Gaia since 2003. I'm 21 years old, living in Illinois.

Umm... about me... I'm pretty shy and reserved at first, but once I get to know you more, I open up. I'm a kind, caring person. I'm pretty laidback and easygoing most of the time, and you'll be just as likely to engage me in a debate about zombie invasions as you are about serious issues. Possibly more likely!

I'm dating a wonderful guy named Jesse. We've been together 5 years, and I want to be with him for the rest of my life. He shares many of the same interests I do, and he keeps me sane and happy.

I love music, it's a very integral part of my life. Part of that is because I love poetry, too. I will quote lyrics sometimes, and many of my random doodles are of lyrics. I mostly like rock and alternative rock, but I'll give everything a fair chance.

I like creating themed playlists, too, it's a fun thing to do, like a work of art in itself, figuring out what songs most convey the theme of your playlist, and which one should go where.

Some of my favorite bands are: Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Evans Blue, Staind, Guns N Roses, Hinder, Linkin Park, OKGO, Marilyn Manson, Fuel, Seether, Three Days Grace, Foreigner, Shinedown, Garth Brooks, Carpenters, AC/DC, Buckcherry, Earshot, The Killers, Korn, Nickelback, The Offspring, just to name a few

I love poetry, and sometimes get enough inspiration to write my own. I love to write, whether it's a letter, a story, or just a journal entry.

I play video games when I get the time, and I like more RPG style games. My favorite video game is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, though a close second is Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

I love photography, and I'm not too bad at it myself. I like nature photography the best.

I like swords and knives, though not as much as my boyfriend does. My favorite are the sais, followed by short swords.

Mostly I just play around on the computer, messing with whatever catches my fancy.
