A girl and a guy were speeding over 100mph on a motorcycle.

Girl: Slow down, i'm scared.
Guy: No, this is fun.
Girl: No it's not, please, it's so scary.
Guy: Then tell me you love me.

Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself, It's really bothering me.

The next day in the newspaper, a motorcycle crashed into a building due to brake failure. Two people were in the crash, but only one survived. The truth was that halfway down the road the guy realized that the breaks weren't working, but he didn't want the girl to know. Instead, he had her hug him and tell him she loves him one last time. Parents will be parents. I had to rebel rebel rebel in high school and the beginning of university to get them off my back. Was it worth it? yes and no. Yes = I'm not an a tight leash, No = my relationship with my family isn't very good..... :/

I don't know how I want to look this year. I've thought about going back to an old outfit, but I would have to sell one of my major items to get the pieces back. I might just stick with this traditional sweater and cup of cocoa inside on a snowy evening. smile

I probably won't travel anywhere this year for Christmas because I have for the last 2 years. I work mornings through this Friday and start back on the 3rd, so I'll have a few days off. I do have an end-of-year work party Thursday which should be fun, and have a lunch date with an old friend of mine on Friday. But, I've decided to get a lot of extra rest instead of doing a lot of stuff with people.

Do you do much travel?

Many churches don't teach this, but being damned cannot happen until the day of judgement when Christ returns. It's not a now thing; it's a future consequence of not being obedient to God by not trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior and striving to live by the perfect example He is. We should show God reverence, but not purely out of fear. I think St. Francis said something to the effect that God does not want us to go to mass/church out of fear or to please others, but out of love and respect for the Lord. Doing something simply to praise and glorify God is pure worship.

p.s. Long messages are fine. Iol I was talking about your answer to my question, because some people can go on and on and on about that.

Indeed, God is not the source of things that go wrong in the world, but God does allow us to be tried. Disobedience to the Lord is what causes all the harm in the world. However, everything that He allows to happen has a purpose whether for our learning or for others. He only wishes for us to grow stronger in Him and use what we learn from these trying experiences to bring praise, glory, and honor to Him. (1 Peter 1:3-9) Keep your chin up and your heart guarded with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-1 cool and try not to worry. I know that''s easier said than done. I've been worrying about a lot of things lately that in the past have not caused me much anxiety.

p.s.~ What makes you think you were "damned" before you accepted Christ? (short answer please lol)

My holiday break is going to be spent working and relaxing. I don't know if I'll see any of my extended family, but my guess is probably not; everyone is all over the place now. I played football and did some track in middle school. Other than that, recreational stuff. I really enjoy paintball (though I suck) and running, biking, hiking, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, etc. Basically anything outdoors. Except swimming. I don't swim. I almost drowned when I was little so it's my phobia now.

Regarding your friend, did you two have an unhealthy relationship that you're afraid will resurface?

Too long indeed! Yes, schoolwork has been extremely time-consuming, difficult, and frustrating. After Monday, I will be done with this semester!!! I'll be checking in on Gaia much more frequently come next week, so I'll get any messages sooner than normal. (i got lucky with this one! biggrin ) My job hasn't been very stressful for the past couple months, so I'm liking it at the moment. How are you? Have (or did you have razz ) any special plans for the holidays this year?
