Haha well I suppose in normal terms yeah it's a distraction, in my terms, where America has ******** up just as much, and I value music more, then to see Americas music industry turn to absolute s**t and hear great gems like Blur and Suede, then in only my eyes does it completely make up for it lol.

Yeah, I can't wait until December 9th. Bloc Party is actually gonna be in my town and playing, a dream come true to see. Brits make some of the greatest music around, it helps in making up for the other terrible s**t they've done.

As an American, as a human, as a musician, they are probably in my top five favorite bands ever. The front man Brett Anderson is like taking David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Morrisey and throwing them into one body.

Sorry if my avi didn't live up to your standards, but that's all I could make on short notice and with the items I had. :/ The hair was meant to be there.

It was a slow burn with feminism for me. I grew up in Australia, which really is quite a chauvinistic country, and the 'feminists are tiresome, harpy-like man-hating uggos' has a very strong hold. Even at uni, I had a tutor approach me quietly in the halls and say how glad she was to have a feminist in her class, like we had to whisper about it!

I'm well, thanks! Wee bit homesick for Cardiff! My mum's British and moved 'back home' as soon as circumstance and fortune allowed, so she'd been in Cardiff since 2008, and I lived with her there in 2009. I'm back in Australia to complete my education, then hopefully headed out again (to give you a wee bit of context on me!). How are you, and what are you studying? (Apologies if I missed it in your profile!)

Sometimes it feels like a kind of 'coming out' saying you're a feminist! I guess in part because lots of people have certain views about who you must be and how you must think when you say it.
