kk this is gonna be my blog. temporarily. cuz i dont gonna use my journal. this one's in chatspeak my chatspeak
i just got back from Scotland today. Actually i got back yesterday. i'll list it.
bmi (british midlands international) is a cool airline - you get movies, good service, gameboy games. economy class, even
glasgow is a cool place. You'll hear bagpipes and drums on the streets & its generally a cool place. (yes the haggis and kilts are highlights too. shut up. im not a tourist.)
i apologize to Glasweegies reading, but edinburgh is actually a cooler place than glasgow. i hate to say it, cos my relatives are glaswegian, but it is. not just because of the castle either.
To describe Edinburgh, think of any big city, but then turn the architecture into medieval gothic, and make the ppl in it young and fashionable.
or take a block of awesome gothic stone (yes awesome gothic stone) as big as a city block, and put gothic windows on it, age it to an awesome grey-brown, and carve in it little wynds and closes (ie steep awesome alleys w/ steps & arches). & put some more trendy ppl in it like mice in swiss cheese. its
awesome. you gotta go there some time.
back in Glasgow, I recommend the Ubiquitous Chip restaurant.
MOre tomorrow. the next ne 'll be more mature,
&accurate

"...It's never the wrong time to call on Toad. Early or late he's always the same fellow. Always good-tempered, always glad to see you, always sorry when you go!"
"He must be a very nice animal," observed the Mole, as he got into the boat and took the sculls, while the Rat settled himself comfortably in the stern.
"He is indeed the best of animals," replied Rat. "So simple, so good-natured, and so affectionate. Perhaps he's not very clever--we can't all be geniuses; and it may be that he is both boastful and conceited. But he has got some great qualities, has Toady."
Rounding a bend in the river, they came in sight of a handsome, dignified old house of mellowed red brick, with well-kept lawns reaching down to the water's edge.
"There's Toad Hall," said the Rat; "and that creek on the left, where the notice-board says, 'Private. No landing allowed,' leads to his boathouse, where we'll leave the boat. The stables are over there to the right. That's the banqueting-hall you're looking at now--very old, that is. Toad is rather rich, you know, and this is really one of the nicest houses in these parts, though we never admit as much to Toad."
They glided up the creek, and the Mole shipped his sculls as they passed into the shadow of a large boathouse. Here they saw many handsome boats, slung from the cross-beams or hauled up on a slip, but none in the water; and the place had an unused and a deserted air.
The Rat looked around him. "I understand," said he. "Boating is played out. He's tired of it, and done with it. I wonder what new fad he has taken up now? Come along and let's look him up. We shall hear all about it quite soon enough."

A Dream within a Dream
by Edgar Allen Poe
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
