My current tank consists of fish I got over a year ago plus a few new new ones from the cash tree cash -- knights (which drop gifts), and grunny (which drops blue coins). You know about the value of the different color coins, right? I was very surprised at the invitations I got to post in grab threads, even when I had only 10 fish in my tank. Lately I'm noticing that even the modest tanks are getting invitations and grabs. There are lots of good guides and topics in the Aquarium Discussion Forum you could read so you have a better idea of what fish glow and which don't, which fish drop gifts and which don't.

From what I've read, it's really hard to know what fish to get. The prices are dropping but not by much. From what I've read also, most people lately expect to get back the price of what they spent, but only if they work very hard by bumping their glows very often. Have you read what purplewiz wrote, both in the forums and in her journal? She's really smart and does spread sheets analyzing how to get the best tank for the price

Do you talk to people in Humphrey Poptart's chat thread? It's a really nice bunch of people and I think you'd get bumps from them even with a modest tank of 17 fish. And free advice.

I hope you don't mind continuing the conversation here. I don't like to post in a glow thread when the glow is over. It misleads grabbers into thinking there's something to grab.

I wish more booty grab players would do as you do -- bump for every grab. Just one bump makes a world of difference to a tank owner trying to recoup the cost of fish.
