About
So you've happened upon my little abode here! Thanks for stopping by. You might as well glean some information from me while you're here.
For starters, I love music (just in case the profile didn't clue you in). For 8 years of my life I sang in the San Diego Children's Choir, and soon I will be going to college, where hopefully I will join the choir there. I also enjoy contemporary singing, though only privately, really. (: My iPod is my life, and I don't feel complete without it (if you're wondering, I don't have an Nano - I have a 30GB 5th generation classic). I need my music in order to thrive and function. Generally, I like post-alt, alternative, rock, and the like, but I also like electronica/dance sounds, and a few pop artists (John Mayer, for instance). I tend to stay away from country, hip hop, and rap. I want to learn to play the guitar in the future.
I also enjoy writing sometimes, which may include roleplaying, poetry, or the occasional story (though I
rarely finish them). I love to read stories more than I like to write them, to be honest. I'm a fantasy fiction fan, to the core. I'm currently working on reading The Vampire Chronicles & The Mayfair Witches series' by Anne Rice; I've read
Interview with the Vampire,
The Vampire Lestat,
Queen of the Damned,
The Tale of the Body Thief, and
The Vampire Armand (out of order, the last one), and I've read
The Witching Hour from the Mayfair Witches series; I'm now working on the second book titled
Lasher. All are excellent books and I thoroughly recommend them.
What else can I say? I've worn glasses since I was eight years old, and I'm half blind. I like vampires a lot (hence most of the last paragraph). I've drank blood before, and liked it. I've cut myself in the past, but I have since conquered my depression and now lead a happier existence. My sexuality is slightly flexible, though I'm more interested in those of the male persuasion. I feel that my fashion style and personality fit no particular category. I'm not "emo", but I'm also not "preppy". I'm not masculine, but I'm not always feminine either. I'm not trendy, but I'm not anti-fashion. I don't like to be labeled, and I find labels to be immensely narrow-minded. It's like reading the summary that's inside of a book jacket and thinking you've read the book.
I can be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes, mostly when it comes to aesthetics. I like things to look nice and neat, but my actual living space is a bit cluttered and littered with little pieces of trash and articles of clothing and what-not. I'm the kind of person that turns the products on a grocery store shelf so that all the labels face the same way (also put things back in their proper section if they're misplaced). I use white-out liberally on my works. I can't stand to make a little doodle of a diagram on my notes; I have to draw the entire thing, in full detail. Things like that.
I hope that gives you a bit of insight into me... Of course, it's no substitute for the real thing, but it's a nice little sample. (: If you'd like to be friends with me, please at least take the courtesy to send me a PM and write me a little note on why you would like to be friends. I won't accept any friend requests if I've never talked to you at all before.
