The Elleth came rushing up to the pillar surrounded platform of Thranduil's throne, stopping right in time to make a graceful bow and offer a twirl. The silks of the new dress flowed like gossamer wings with every movement, fabric glittering subtly in light from the fine lines of the rich white and silver embroidery. For the first time, she also had white flowers in her hair.
"My King, you've honored me with your gift," she said on a cheerful voice, hazel eyes flicking up to meet his with a smile. "What do you think, am I ready for the festival now?"
Bilbo busied himself with making sure everyone had enough food to eat. He rose from the table countless times to gather cheese, grapes, more wine, beer, what not in order to fulfill his duty as a kind and generous host. At some point during his excursions, he noticed a figure outside on his bench. He looked out the window of his kitchen, furrowing his brows in confusion. "Bard, did you...did you invite anyone else? There's someone sitting outside..."
