Hi! I'm Mindset. I like books, comics, music, and movies -- all the usual things. I may be a bit older than most Gaia users, but don't worry, I'm young at heart and probably just as geeky as you. smile
I work with computers and graphics for a living and as a hobby, but I don't nearly get as much time to do art (or to write) as I'd like to. One of these days I'll finish my projects...
I was linked to Gaia back in 2004 to a hilarious thread in the forums, and I joined to make an avatar of myself. I've since gotten into the idea of conceptual / matching avatars, but here's an idea of what I look like, Gaia-style:
Summer styleWinter style
When I first wake up in the morningAll dressed up for formal events
These days, you can usually find me on Gaia in the Site Feedback forum, or sometimes playing zOMG or fishing. I don't friend back everybody, but it doesn't hurt to ask, and I love comments. heart

Thanks for stopping by, everybody.
Time-Traveler and Friends
"Everybody, get in close!" the G-Corp scientist cried, urging the others into the range of the time machine. The surprisingly intelligent juvenile dinosaurs crowded in as she checked the security of the egg she carried. "All right, we're good... now here we go!" She pressed the red button, and they closed their eyes as colors swirled up around them, carrying them into the future...

In RPGs with modern or future settings, the technomancer class is one answer to the question of mixing magic and technology.
A technomancer can affect computers and technology directly, without a terminal or physical connection-- but with an act of will, or magic. Comparable to the concepts in the Matrix movies, the technomancer blurs the line between actual and virtual reality.
Skills include translating oneself into signal, to travel as a "ghost in the machine" in search of data.
Done as part of a group entry with the Goldfish Nightlights Guild - all my thanks to them and the voters!
