About

There are a lot of people in the history of the world like me, and a few wandering around today, in some manner or another. I like a wide variety of esoteric and scientific things like fractals, sacred geometry, electricity, plasma physics, mathematical history, philosophy, gnostic and middle eastern religions, creation stories and more. My university studies included religions, political science, physics, foreign languages, and cultures. I believe the placebo effect combined with it's inverse - stress and depression, really mean a person's way of thinking can influence their health directly, which puts me closer to holistic medicine than most. I am an animist, fond of Taoism, and believe in seeking Apotheosis. I value Wisdom, Truth, and Free Will almost equally, and generally above all else. I think Mercy, Charity, Gratitude, Humility, and Patience are virtues.

Common sense to me is more important than logic, and experience more important than claims of empiricism, statistics, or authority. I tend to trust my "gut' and depend on intuition. I believe foreign countries are often over rated but not as over rated as the American dream.

1. Thanks for helping my thread get to 5 pages!
2. Thanks for getting pissy or not. My goal was to get people mad and the only thing I read from the article was the piece I quoted excluding the link to the "quote" section. I agree with that one piece of the article and I didn't even read the whole article ,it was way too long. The other goal was to get a bunch of pages at least over 3.

You don't see rich black people, gays, and people who were once poor become rich from hard work...the american dream is superior in that sense... that is all I mean by that. Look at England ....you have a silver spoon classist society. You don't have that here. Where else do you hear about people who came from nothing to make something of it? The American Dream is overrated to those who don't understand it.
