The tragedies of 3/11 in Japan were not a passing or morbid interest for me. Their problems (especially related to Fukushima Daiichi) affect everyone.

The Japanese government lies to its citizens as much as anyone else's. Their media perpetuates these lies as much as any others.

Those directly affected have to pick up the pieces and move on like any other survivor. That makes their tragedy no more or less relevant.

I joined Gaia for roleplay purposes back in March of '04 because I had done the round-robin style Yahoo Roleplay Club thing (Pern, if anyone cares), got the t-shirt and left in disgust.

I joined one of those guilds (before guilds existed mind you), you know the kind, where every samurai, ninja, and fantasy anime existed in one place. I left because the guild master was a womanizing piece of s**t. So I moved to the B/C (and have remained there) because my sister got me into it, and hoped to god someone knew how to roleplay. But I have friends I met back there and successive places that I still speak with on occasion and hold in the highest regard and feel great affection for: Ami, Oni, Shinta... and some I wish I had kept in contact with: Malice, Musashi...

I am a grouchy soul. Probably the best animals to be synonymous with me are hibernating dragons and 20 year-old chihuahuas who wish they had been left intact. I have a slow-burning but all-consuming temper and rarely enjoy physical affection (stuff furries seem to love). I tend to look to people with optimism until their selfishness crushes and jades me again. I am blunt and hate people who pretend to be interested. If I am overly nice to you, I am going out of my way to show my favor. If you waste it, it will be nearly impossible to attain it again. If I am short with you, I am probably pissed. If I won't discuss it, I just might be pissed at you. If I have disappeared from your shop... I'm not coming back. I do not seek confrontation, but if you follow the dragon to his cave, you'd better prepare yourself for an eloquent novel on all the ways you suck.
