About

About me?

I'm English, but I am actually caffeine-free as part of a plan to improve on my health, so that means replacing my once beloved cups of tea with water or herbal infusions. I do still heartily enjoy hot chocolate however, and adhere to the stereotype through my accent and love of crumpets. Although as much as I like my country, I wouldn't hesitate to move somewhere warmer!

Politically I tend not to get too involved in debates. According to a popular online political compass, I classify as slightly more left than right, and more authoritarian than libertarian. Generally what I state when asked however, is that my opinion fluctuates according to the issue rather than the party; I may agree with the policies of one party, but disagree with others that they adhere to or support. I do vote however, being of legal age to do so.

I am religious, but not in the monotheistic sense. While I make routine offerings, have my own altar and so on, I don't 'preach' what I practise. To me, religion is something that should be individual, and at least, not a part of society; society should be secular. I'm pro-choice, to answer that question, and also support gay marriage as the word has existed for centuries long before Christianity came on the scene. I enjoy discussing religion, particularly the ancient and less well-documented sorts. I also believe in theories along the lines of Daniken, and would recommend 'We are not the first' by Andrew Tomas to everyone. I remain healthily skeptical for the most part however, even if I rarely deny the plausibility or possibility of something outright.

I enjoy meeting to and talking to new people both online and off, although I may come off as a little shy at times. My hobbies centre around the acquisition of knowledge, books and creative writing. I used to be a goth, although now I would say that I am maturing out of that onto a new path, that is allowing me to become more optimistic about myself, and improving my self-esteem.

I am female in real life, but do not mind which pronoun I go by online; I'd rather be judged by what I say than by my anatomy, in principle. I am in a committed, monogamous relationship, but I am pro-polyamory & pro-gay marriage, for those wondering. I'm a believer in the fact that BDSM between two consenting and sane adults shouldn't be illegal - SSC all the way (safe, sane, consensual). I'm also a fledgling in learning about the gorean lifestyle/subculture.

I enjoy role-playing, although my schedule is sometimes a bit on and off due to current University final year commitments.

Sounds like a decent way to wind down. I am waiting for my husband to get home. He had an offsite job after work, so he's later than usual.
