If you want a good comic that you can look at and study online, you should check out Templar, Arizona. http://templaraz.com/?p=879 This lady is a master at creating interesting and believable characters and I rather like most of her panel layouts/transitions. However, be warned, it has some foul language, violence, and a bit of nudity at a couple points, so use your own discretion. Tails is also good for paneling and such, and much less violent/foulmouthed. http://tailscomic.com/2009/06/05/prologue-2/

For ideas about angles and the like, try looking at (good) comics of different genres, and film (movies, tv, etc)--if you can find storyboards for movies or shows, that can help too, since a storyboard isn't too far off from a comic. And practise, practise, practise!
