Alternatively, I appreciated what you brought to the discussion and used it as a Like button, rather than just post 'I agree' or 'Thanks'. I wish you could put messages with tips, but then people would probably abuse it...

Wow, oldddddd biography. Here's the new one! I'm Alice Ariella, but most people on Gaia call me Misaki or some derivative of it. I was born on 11/11/1993, making me 17 presently, and I've lived in the Australian countryside all my life. Currently, I do university long distance. I'm in computer science. I want to do web development in the future, yeah!!

On Gaia, I can be found in the GCD, zOMG! forums, and zOMG! itself. I joined in 2005 and I've had this as my main for a long time (I locked myself out of my original main and didn't get it back for a long time).

I used to be a pretty depressed person, but I like to count my blessings, and I'm fairly happy now. I have a lot of medical problems; I have mobility problems, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety issues, diabetes, I'm half-blind, and was recently left half-deaf by a brain tumour, but they cut the tumour out and I'm now a proud survivor of having my brain stem painfully squished by a mass literally the size of a golfball. I know I'm lucky to be alive and I'm enjoying it. Even if I can't do everything everyone else can, I have my own unique abilities. I am a firm believer that people should be judged by what they can do (their ability), not what they cannot do (their disabilities). tl;dr: Don't feel sorry for me, I'm happy and learning how to get over my obstacles in life. I prefer to think of myself as an example of proof you can overcome limitations and still be a happy individual. To me, every day is Thanksgiving (minus the turkey and family feuds).

My attitude towards people can be summed up as 'live and let live'. Specifically, I might disagree with you, but I respect your right to have your opinion, even if I do not respect your opinion. I believe discourse is necessary and if you offer your opinion up in argument, I will attempt to argue it; people who approach discourse with open minds can have their minds changed, so I don't think it's pointless. But personal attacks in an argument are frivolous and unnecessary. What does this have to do with live and let live? If you don't offer your opinion, I won't try to change it. People have the right to think what they like; it is when they engage in argument that they place their opinions up for evaluation. Politically, I emphasise personal freedoms and equality. I do not believe the government should interfere in half as many things as it does. I believe things that I may personally disagree with should be legalised because I believe that I have the right to make the choice for myself alone and it is not my place to interfere with other people's lives. Again, this comes down to live and let live. In an ideal society, people would have maximum individual freedom, short of infringing on other people's intrinsic rights. You could say this is a libertarian point of view, but I'm hesitant to label my ideology, because despite having being called it a million times, I'm still trying to iron out my economic policy.

I am as well. I've had epilepsy since I was at least 18 months old, but my doctors refused to do the tests that were needed to prove it. (inmates get better health care than our military and their families, I swear) I had grand mals until I was eight, and petite mal seizures ever since. I was twenty-two before I could get a doctor to take a real look at me and get me treated for it, and between the year I stopped having grand mal seizures, and the year I got treated, I scraped through school by the skin of my nose, failing classes left and right because of the conditions in the schools. I'm 24 now, and I've been on medication for two years. I've started in at school again, and I'm coming up with aces to c's, for the first time in my life. Why should I let a website put a damper on that, or on others, you know? If I don't speak out first, who will?

Oh, I know you didn't. I just wanted to make sure you saw that what she was saying about me were blatant lies. She's started putting words in my mouth. AND NOW, she's even harassing me in our guild. I was specifically not going to speak to her in there, as it's rude to bring that argument into the guild for utterly no reason. Either way, it's cool. I promise I know you weren't implying things about me, I just wanted to make sure you knew that what she was putting into my mouth was lies.
