Being at home for the most part isn't so bad for me, but my parents are pretty old fashioned and so it's hard to get along with them sometimes. Yesterday I ended up getting into a fight with Mom because she misinterpreted something I said (don't ask me how) and completely flew off the handle about it and two other things not even remotely related. And then after her attempts to apologize with lame excuses and taking me to a movie, she starts again later in the evening and completely trashes a drawing I did. And today she's trying to act like nothing happened and I'm sorry but no, I'm still mad. That was highly uncalled for. And ouch, I'm sorry to hear that. I'll never understand why people don't say anything when their partners assault someone. One of my friends was in a similar situation and her mother still blames her for it to this day rather than blaming it on her boyfriend. So rude...

I do like to role play! I mostly role play original characters (either pre-made OCs of mine or making new ones to fit the purpose of the RP), but I also occasionally do canon character RPs if I'm comfortable enough with the character and think I can do a good job representing him/her.

I draw and I write in my spare time, but I don't particularly take either seriously. I mostly write stories revolving around my OCs, but lately I've been fleshing out the background of one character in particular so I can fix up his pet profile on Subeta. (I have pets representing my OCs but none of them have finished profiles yet.)

I'm sure you'll do fine! biggrin That's pretty cool though, that you get to edit newsletters. Sounds like fun!

I don't work at the moment. I used to work at a grocery store but I had too many issues with my boss and another co-worker so I quit and I'm back in college taking a Medical Administration course. Hopefully then I can get a better job where I can support myself. (I'm stuck living at home for the time being because my previous job was minimum wage and the pay was s**t since I averaged 9-15 hours a week.)

I tried watching MLP but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Not sure why but something about it just didn't appeal to me.

That's how I feel about Phi Brain. I adore the series SO much and none of my friends are willing to give it a try. It makes me so sad because the series is really good and really under appreciated. Granted, I gave up on my friends after they said everything was inferior to MLP so... Yeah. OTL

I'm 26, though most times I don't like to show it, haha.

This isn't my original account either, it was made in 2011. But due to some... Unfortunate circumstances with a long time friendship gone bad, I had to pack up and ship everything over to this account to get away from my ex-best friend. Blocking her wasn't enough to get rid of her, I had to get a new skype, new email, new cell number, new Gaia, new everything because she had people following me around everywhere I went online.

I'm not 100% sure but I thought I recall Gaia sending out an announcement saying they did away with the account lockout due to a backlog of tickets and too much inconvenience. So if you remember the username and password you can probably get back into the account!

It's like my comment formatted itself in a different font. No idea how it happened, but that's kind of cool. o:

My passion gets the better of me sometimes. > 3 > You should see my room, ahaha... My entire headboard is covered in pictures of Art, as is my dresser mirror. I don't have a lot in the ways of official merchandise outside of posters since most stuff is either too expensive for my broke a** atm or was released only through special events in Japan that I couldn't attend, but I do have enough to decorate my room a bit. Outside of the posters I bought, I have his character song CD and some keychains (one was custom made), and I'm getting two dakimakura cases made of him currently. redface My parents aren't happy with my attraction to him but as I see it, I could be into worse things.

Favorite Free character? Makoto, for sure. He was such a sweetheart, I adored him. I also liked Nagisa because penguins. <3 //don't mind me huge penguin nerd right here

Gotta admit, I started watching Free as part of an anime review blog. We had a calendar of series that were coming out at the time, and we had to pick which ones we wanted. Hardly anyone wanted Free because of the summary and the concept, so I took it into my list of things to watch and review. I'll be honest with you, I thought I was going to watch this and have something to make fun of, I was not prepared for how good it actually was nor was I prepared for the feels it brought. (Meganebu too, oh man that anime was ridic but it was amazing.)

*I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Death Parade anime in 2015. It's based on the Death Billiards short movie from Anime Mirai and that was my favorite out of the set for that year.

How long have you been on the site? o: Rather than spend IRL money these days, I find it easier to just go through my invo and pick things I haven't used in years, and sell them on the MP for their inflated prices. Though, I'm slowly running out of things that are worth selling, thanks to the constant RIGs that just pop out the same old s**t. The avatars are a pretty staple feature of this site, so I can see why Gaia puts emphasis on them, but some of us are here for other reasons too. I remember back around 2004-2005 there was a time when I didn't even bother to use an avatar, I just had a silhouette or occasionally a newb avatar dressed in her peasant gear. Those were fun times. xD

I don't know if the writer was different for season two, but I know the art studio was different and I hated it. There was WAY too much contrast and watching each episode gave me a splitting headache because the excessive shadows made half of the content unidentifiable and then the non-shaded areas were TOO ******** BRIGHT and just urhghhhh. NAZ may not have been a great studio, they were new, but at least their animation throughout the first season had balance in the contrast. Lerche did the animation for season two and I have yet to like anything they've produced. And the writing sucked a**, because they basically ignored EVERYTHING that was set out during season one. Flashbacks were changed, character personalities were re-written (that hurt me the most because a female I really liked in season one became a useless damsel needing a man's help in season two), and key events from season one were completely ignored and treated like they never happened. I was just SO mad. The same guy that wrote the trainwreck of a second season to Hamatora is now writing the second season of PSYCHO-PASS 2 and I'm terrified.

What I like best about Art would probably be his personality in season one. He was kind, friendly, generous, and loyal to his friends. He went to great lengths to protect the people he cared about. However, he wasn't without flaws either. He lived in a society where people with special abilities got the best jobs, and though he was accepted into a school for such people, he never managed to trigger his own ability. As such, he felt quite inferior to his friends and suffered a complex, despite working hard and still graduating from the school and getting a good job. He's seen as serious throughout the seasons but in the drama CDs, he has a cuter and almost naive side to him that I find rather adorable. He loves sweets, too. There was a picture of him drawn, I forget now where it came from, but it was him with an ice cream cone and it had like 20 scoops of ice cream piled high and it was just so funny because he had this （ー ワ ー ）face and I dunno it was just comical. :heart:

Season two made him quite different, though. I didn't dislike him through season two (since I predicted and prepared myself for the changes), but he did a lot of things that contradicted his actions and feelings in season one. One thing I DID like about him in season two was that he became less elegant and more badass, he was a good fighter in season two whereas season one had him get saved quite a few times by his best friend. I guess it's mostly my attachment to him but I hated how much he got beaten up or injured in season two. It was really hard to watch, and some of the decisions he made or the things he said were hard to stomach because they felt wrong, after how we'd come to know him through season one.

Other anime I like? Hm...

PSYCHO-PASS, Parasyte, Yowamushi Pedal, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, World Trigger, Blue Exorcist, Tsuritama, Tokyo Ghoul, Haikyuu!! (though I'm very behind), Kill la Kill, Panty and Stocking, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun, Free!, DRAMAtical Murder (though the anime paled in comparison to the game). It's definitely not a good way to draw in and KEEP new users. New users are going to register, see the high prices in both the market and shops, and notice that the gold they gain isn't enough to come even CLOSE to the prices unless they buy gold gens or spend cash to buy items from La Victiore to sell on the MP. And with Gaia making decisions that continually push away existing members, I can't blame people for having a negative outlook for the future of this site.

He's from Hamatora, a two-season anime that just ended a bit ago. The first season was good, the second season was terrible.

Should probably have mentioned in my last comment that one of the things that REALLY irks me is the raising of the gold shop prices. And I hear they plan to update all of the shops to match the "current economy" which is going to be awful. I don't care if they upped the daily chance payouts, can you imagine what it's going to look like when a new user joins, goes into a shop and sees prices above 100k?

I don't know. Maybe the CEO's marketing tactics worked for other companies he's been a part of, but they don't work for Gaia since Gaia isn't JUST a store to sell products.

I've long since moved past being able to be miffed with Gaia. For the first while, after the new CEO took over, I had ALL of the anger. But now, I just can't muster it anymore. There's only disappointment and head shaking. (And soon there won't even be disappointment, just predictability and "ugh, why?".) Every decision Gaia's made since the new CEO took over has been a wrong one. The staff's answers to several concerns and problems are very fake, very "crowd control" and insincere. It almost feels like listening to a machine attempt to apologize, when the machine doesn't understand what's wrong and isn't capable of showing emotion. And the reboot of the AtA is a ******** joke. I attended the first day, saw the introductory post answering several questions, and just rolled my eyes. Questions that should have been answered were ignored or met with half-assed replies, while stupid things like "what did you have for lunch?" were answered right away. Just like before they shut it down. stressed

I too have been a fairly regular purchaser of Gaia Cash up until this new CEO took over. Back in the day I'd spend up to a hundred or more per month, and between 2007-2011 I think I'd spent at least $2,000 supporting the site. But when the gold generators came out, I put myself on GC hiatus because I was pissed off. There's a reason that s**t was banned in earlier years of the site. (The lies Gaia tries to feed us about these things is sickening...)

However, I did come out of Cash hiatus for a bit, and bought a few things I wanted from the cash shop, but nope, I'm done. Even though I see items I want, I refuse to buy GC anymore. Gaia's lost my financial support thanks to various decisions they've made.

I've never considered myself a hardcore player of zOMG, and I didn't play it as religiously as some people, but I can still call bullshit on Gaia's behavior with the game and the excuses they made afterwards to attempt to quell the angry users. It's disgusting how Gaia lies to us about things.
