Yeah it isn't a bad place to be, depending on where you are.
Aha it's okay, they interest me too =p a wombat killed my friends' dog a couple of years back O.o
And not all of them are bad, just most :p

We have several species of poisonous frogs though, that might work lol

Oh god yes O.o have you seen the claws on them?
They disembowel things they see as a threat, every now and then it will be on the news that someone's dog was killed by a koala it was pestering O.o
They're highly territorial, especially the males
