About
Uhm... Well... I don't really have that much to say, but I'll quickly write something now and in a few days I might add more. ^^;
I'm a girl, I'm 23 years old and I live in Maastricht, the Netherlands. I study Japanese and I'll be in Japan (Osaka) for six weeks from tomorrow on. My hobbies include: writing, cross stitching, gaming, watching series and movies and karaoke (when I'm in Japan). I also like studying Japanese, especially kanji. ^^ And I like eating good food, which means I also like a bit of cooking and baking.
I'm lesbian, so if you don't like that, I'll advice you to turn around and leave.
What I don't like are people who whine, people who can only bash others, people who cannot stick to the rules or people who insist on using chat speak. And I don't like fish as food.
If you want to know more about me, feel free to ask or wait for the update.

Hungarian people are pretty impatient at traffic lights, as well (so am I), so I guess I could get used to that. I'd be amazed by how patient they are in Tokyo, though!
Yeah, I've heard that nattos smell and look awful, so I doubt I would ever try it. (I'm a picky person, anyway.) I believe I drank ocha, since it was made of this wierd powder-thing? The teacher just mixed it with water and done. :3 I doubt I could take maccha if I didn't even like ocha much, haha. Hopefully I'll get used to it someday. I don't think you've mentioned doing sadou for months? Or maybe I'm just getting old and senile. xP
I don't think any bookstore (apart from one, hidden one) has any Japanese books, and Minna no Nihongo can definitely not be found there. Unfortunately. :[ Maybe I'll just print it, it's not that long, I guess. (:
Oh my, those pictured are lovely! I'm totally in love with the clouds and the food. (I love travelling by plane for these very reasons. xP) Is that your bento-box? I think it's really cute. I wanted to order one some months ago but I spent the money on fabrics for my cosplay instead (and the wig - gotta hate the price of wigs, although ebay has a good variety of them). I've never really seen a toilet like that, either. Really modern. o_O
(I'm looking forward to those pictures! :3)
I've downloaded Minna no Nihongo, already, and from the very same server I could do the same with Japanese for Busy People, but it seemed, well, too long at first? So I passed on that, but seems like it was a clever decision, then. I got some 1000 Kanji-like books, too, but learning from computer always seems so hard to me. (My eyes get tired just too easily.)
I've heard that people either hate or love Japanese green tea, hopefully I'll get used to it, as well. xP I guess it's the same with natto? Not sure if I could ever eat that.
What kind of place is Osaka, by the way? Are the suburban legends true, like people being way too busy and showing as little emotions as possible?
You also belong to the guild I joined. If you ever want to chat, go right ahead, I'm not as creepy as this spontaneous post. ^^
I plan to buy a kanji book this week (finding a place was not easy, since how many shops sell kanji books in Budapest - hm, one? Seriously, this is lame), so hopefully my learning will be faster then. As for online lessons and downloaded books, I find learning hard from them. It's just disturbing for me.
Wow, I envy you, Japan seems such a nice place (especially the tourist attractions and must-see places to visit xP)! I'm also in love with the food, but there are some things I just can't take, like Japanese green tea. For some reason, I can't get used to it. >_<
Anyway, have fun in Osaka! :3
Thanks, I'll sure need luck. Embroidering is something I've never tried, but I'm sure it's really hard. Anyway, there are so many lovely patterns online that it makes me want to learn it!
I just mix those similar ones up and often mistake tsu and si in katakana. Even though I understand the difference, I always fail to write a recognizable one of either of them. xP PMing in Japanese sounds lovely! But I'd rather stick with basic kanji for now, since I still have to learn a lot of them. Considering an avarage Japanese knows 2000-4000 kanjis, I have a long way to go, I guess.
Anyway, I'll go off for now. Need to get a good night's sleep. ;] Until then. ~
(And thanks for helping out with my Japanese studies!)
I don't really like Hungary, to be honest. I didn't quite grow up here and the mentality of people tends to suck. Either way, it's not nice for me to say things like these. How about Holland? Do you like it? :3
My Japanese language course ended today with a huuuuge test, and I'll continue it in September. But until then, practicing sounds like fun! Although I'm a complete beginner. I plan to rewrite my notes today, hoping I can refresh my memories that way. (E.g. I always mix up katakanas and hiraganas, which is a pain.)
You cross-stitch! That's so nice, I even have a hard time sewing. (:
Okay, I dp realize this is a lame method of starting a conversation. xP
But recently other things have been eating up my creativity, so let that be my alibi.
