Some have often asked me: "Are you happy with never going back to Wutai?" I don't mind it really. I chose to join ShinRa of my own free will during the war, and I knew even then what it meant. I am thankful for the doors that have opened with my choices. I am Happy to have met the people who have died for their beliefs. For they are heros though some may think they were not. My only regret is the lives I took while under the old ShinRa name. But I regret this in silence because a man far greater than I is taking on the burden of reconciliation for all of our sins. For us who remain in service and for those who have gone without knowing this new peace. But it is due to my friendships with these men and women that I stay ever constant at their sides. Even if the ShinRa Bank Account runs dry. I love each and every one of them, but silently.Favorite movie: Pulp Fiction (Enough said)

A History: Born to the once rich and distinguished House of Lin, Tseng was raised from infancy to around 8 or 9 to be a young noble. But his father had been an idiot and ruined the family, putting them into a deep debt. To help pay for the debt, his father sold the Family Estate, and then sold his wife and son, along with the Family Sword to the house of Chin. Selling the swords to them locked Tseng and his mother into slavery while his father escaped. He and his mother suffered a hot metal rod burning a simple dot into the center of their foreheads to the skull to forever mark that they were slaves to the House of Chin. Each house having its own markings.
They worked for the family for a few years, his mother constantly being assaulted and raped. When a few men set their eyes on her son, she was raped and killed in front of him. It was then that he vowed to avenge her and to take back the family sword and name. He had gotten close to the young Master of the House of Chin during the next few years, only to kill him and escape one evening. It was in fleeing from Wutai that he'd ran into ShinRa SOLDIER and agreed to help get them into the city. From there he joined the TURKS under Veld And that is where he has been ever since.
He has not yet returned to Wutai with the purpose of reclaiming his birthright. He feels loyalty to ShinRa despite the fact that the House of Chin still stands. He will return one day for his Family's Sword.
