No. It's not the same thing. Different pains make people react differently. There is no other pain like tattoo pain. I equate it to raking a sharp fork down a severe sunburn. Hard. Over and over, for several hours. And then there's aftercare, an entirely different ballgame. And again, certain areas of the body are known to hurt more than others, and the skill of your tattooist can make a big difference as well.
Everyone's pain tolerance and acceptance is different. And different areas of the body are known to be more or less painful. The entire process will hurt to one degree or another. A lot of it also depends on the skill of your tattooist, too.
