Hey, I just saw the discussion that was going on at your cosplay avatar, and thought I'd weigh in. My comment was too long to put under your avatar, though, so I'll post it here instead. Hope that's okay!
Sadly, most of the comments are correct, it's not a very good cosplay.
HOWEVER: Don't be discouraged! Very few people get it right the first time, and the beauty of it is that you can try again as many times as you want. Here's some tips for the future:
You really have to work to get some avatars right. You have to go for all the little details, as insignificant as they might seem.
Choice of character can be important too. If your character is a major character from a well-known series, chances are a lot of people have cosplayed that character and people won't vote for it unless it's incredibly good. So broaden your horizons, and look around the arenas for a few weeks to see what gets cosplayed often.
Listen to critiques people give you as well. If somebody just says "lol ur avi sux" you can probably disregard them, but when people point out something specific and suggest a way to improve it, consider what they're saying, because they're trying to help.
