Boring Introduction to a Mediocre Person

Welcome to my profile.

About Me: I am currently a junior in college. I attend a college in the state of Florida. This means I chill easily, hate cold weather, and generally dislike northern tourists who clog up the roads (but on the plus side, bring money and business). I am a Horticulture Production major, but generally I just enjoy learning, so this is not my only area of interest.

I spend a great deal of time roleplaying, though I normally do not roleplay on Gaia anymore, as I've found people here are usually snarkier than other places I frequent. This also means that I am slightly rusty at forum roleplay and get my tenses mixed up every once in a while, since my current roleplay hangout is all about the present tense, and Gaia is all about the past tense.

I play video games sometimes. I like to play the D & D based games developed by Black Isle Studios. I am usually more interested in farming simulations/village simulations than games that take quick reflexes. While I enjoy watching others play games like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider, I hardly ever try my own hand at them. At the moment I have taken up playing City of Heroes with my boyfriend.

I read a lot of classic novels and plays. I am currently in the process of reading a compilation of plays by Moliere, The Prince by Machiavelli, and Candide by Voltaire. I like to jump around a lot, as you can see. I have read all of Jane Austen's books except Emma, which I recently put down for the aforementioned books.

Of the classics I have read, my favorite has been Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, mostly because it reads like an adventure/romance novel. I gave up on Walden, by Henry David Thoreau, after reading an excruciating fifty pages. I will probably pick that back up after I finish Emma.

I read poetry compilations when I can find them. I am currently working my way through the 1962 printing of The Oxford Book of American Verse. Reading through all of Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself" is going to be the death of me. Also reading a compilation of Rober Frost's poetry.

I am also a reader of Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Romance novels. I absolutely adore Robin McKinley's books.

Perhaps we can talk of scholarly pursuits, or of video games, or of roleplay. Or music! I listen to music too! But, well, this is already quite wordy, so I'll leave that to be spoken of in conversation. =)
