There's not much you ever need to know about a person, that is, until you learn their name. Once an individual introduces themselves, a certain trust is established.
My full name is Kristina Michelle Earl, though I'm only called Kristina Michelle if something really bad has happened, that, or I'm in some serious trouble with my parents. Thankfully, I am most commonly called Krissy, so I'm not always in trouble. Krissy isn't my only nickname, as I have four others, but those are more of "you had to be there" moments.
Well, I'm twenty years old, and have the luck of a disfigured, confused gerbil. What does that mean exactly? Well, put simply...my luck sucks, most of the time, anyway. Anything I do I make sure I don't rely on "luck", because in the end you don't always have time to throw your hands in the air and pray. I'm the kind of girl that relies more on skill and determination rather than luck, which is kinda ironic with me having Irish blood and all.
I graduated from Heritage High school in 2009 on June 6th, and I can happily say that on that day, I did feel completely invincible. The first time I made a goal from the mid-point line was even bypassed with how I felt that day. High school itself was a struggle for me, because I didn't always fit in. In ways, I could be considered a teachers pet, but I don't see it as that. I see that I was raised by respectable and loving parents who I knew would be disappointed if I released snakes in the cafeteria. To live by example is one of the most common way people live, and I know that had I been involved in that incident that hot summer day, I would have never become the person I am today.
Speaking of living by example, I've been an active Girl Scout for the past thirteen years. I began my journey as a Brownie Girl Scout, and now, I have achieved the highest ranking a Girl Scout can become; an Ambassador. With great pride, I can honestly and happily say that I was of the first five to walk across the stage and receive this honor. Having come this far in the Girl Scout community I've been allowed to look back and see everything that I have learned, and look forward and see what is to come. In my years as a Girl Scout, I have made new friends who I treasure daily. I've found contacts for jobs, and potential career opportunities. With all of this I can look back and have no regrets, as I have achieved everything a Girl Scout can.
With honors, I've achieved the highest of achievements provided, the Girl Scout Gold Award. This award requires many requirements as all award commonly do, though the Gold Award had a time requirement. A minimum of sixty hours of work was needed. With my Gold project, I totaled up a year's worth.
