I didn't make it, but I'm going to apply again for next year. I just got back from a Japanese cultural festival, so I'm hoping that experience will help me. If nothing else, I had an amazing time. XD
I haven't been posting too much anywhere other than the annual ball lately, so don't feel bad. blaugh
Thanks! biggrin I should be finding out sometime before the end of this week. I'm so nervous! It's really competitive, so I keep fearing that I won't make the interview list.
Don't be too self conscious about your writing. The ball is very fast paced, and even I will have terrible typos even though I have an English degree! blaugh You can't get hung up over crafting everything perfectly in the ball or you'll get left behind. You'll get used to the flow though. heart
I think I have just the place for you! We have an advertisement thread in Barton Town with light roleplaying leading up to the ball. It's a gathering place for recruiting purposes. Check it out!
I'm glad this ball is doing that for you. biggrin Each ball only lasts three days, and it's only once a year. For the rest of the year, we're planning the next ball. heart
I will be playing Sloth, and the room that I will be in will be called, "The City of Time." The ball hasn't been put into the main forum area yet, but there will be announcements for it on Friday. You can also visit this thread for right now. It's an informational thread trying to raise awareness for the ball. It's still under construction though.
You are into urban exploration? Hmm... that doesn't sound like you for some reason haha XD you would most definitely have a field day haha
Yes Guilin was extremely gorgeous... well the atmosphere and the scenery were more organic than Beijing. the cities like Chengdu and Guilin were much more relaxed compared to Beijing where everyone seemed to be in a hurry.
Ohh... my favorite place?.... i guess Guilin since it was so beautiful.... but i really like all of the cities haha. they each had their charms
Yes, you could get in quicker if you pre register. since you can pick up your pass the day before the con starts. but you still have to wait in a line on opening day.... if i remember correctly haha.
I really can't remember if there are two lines for pre registered and people who pay at the door.... but pre registered people can also pick up their pass whenever they feel like..... but that defeats the purpose of pre registering...... bleh this is confusing me hahaha XD there were so many lines, i cant keep 'em all straight.......
there might not be a line for the pre registered if they pick up their passes the day before.... I can remember walking through the door pretty quickly, and we just showed our passes to the people at the front door and we were in...... so actually..... I dont think there is a line for pre registered haha...
wow I typed a lot... sorry i had to think it all out haha XD and i contradicted myself........ haha..... dont trust what i say XD
