If you calculate your odds of rolling a perfect 100 with 10 10 sided dice, it's astronomical. The way this is calculated is by multiplying 1/10 by itself 10 times, so it'd be 1/10 x 1/10 = 1/100 (2) x 1/10 = 1/1,000 (3) x 1/10 = 1/10,000 (4) x 1/10 = 1/100,000 (5) x 1/10 = 1/1,000,000 (6) x 1/10 = 1/10,000,000 (7) x 1/10 = 1/100,000,000 ( 8 ) x 1/10 = 1/1,000,000,000 (9) x 1/10 = 1/10,000,000,000 yes that is 10 billion. So just think about that next time you're doing a dice roll

I thought that the odds of winning a 20 20 sided dice thread was better than winning the 10 10 sided dice thread but it isn't. To get a perfect 100 with 10 10 sided dice, you you have to get 10 on each die, which is 1/10th 10 times, that comes out to be a 1/10,000,000,000 (10 billion) chance. I thought for sure rolling a 300 or higher or 120 or lower with 20 20 sided dice would be easier because it offered 200 numbers that if you got them, you'd win. But no, it's not, in fact, it's much worse.

In order to get even 300 or higher, you need to get at least 15 on each of your 20 dice. Now that doesn't sound so bad does it? A 1/4 chance on each die isn't awful is it? Yeah it is. 1/4 x 1/4 = 1/16 (2) x 1/4 = 1/64 (3) x 1/4 = 1/256...you get where this is going. By the 20th die, your odds of getting even a 300 or higher are 1/17,592,186,044,416. That's over 17 trillion, and even if you divide that number 2 (considering you can get 120 or lower) you still have an outcome that's well over 8 trillion. So your odds of winning are 1/8 trillion

All in all, never do dice rolls unless you do the math, stick with random numbers
