I am a vulkodlak; half vampire, half okami.
I was born almost 4,000 years ago.
My father was a vampire; my mother, an okami, or wolf goddess.
Dad was what might be called a "vegetarian vampire,"
basically he never drank human blood.
When I read his journal, I found out that he became violently ill
whenever he tried to drink it.
I, too, am a "vegetarian vampire,"out of choice, not necessity.
I have always been repulsed at the simple thought of drinking human blood.
Perhaps I get it from him.
When Mom and Dad met, it was love at first sight for both of them.
Mom, if you are wondering, had taken human form.
They traveled together for many years,
until they had to settle down.
Mom, as it turns out, was pregnant, with me.
They settled down and raised me for about two and a half years,
until one unfortunate day...
Dad went out to "feed." Mom went with him, in wolf form.
Mom was mistaken for a wolf
that had been killing livestock in the area,
and killed.
Dad, in his grief, went berserk
and killed many of those responsible for Mom's death.
However, he was found out for what he was,
a vampire, and eventually killed.
I was not left to fend for myself, thankfully.
I was being babysat, at the time, by a friend of my mom's,
who I lovingly called "Auntie."
She knew about both Mom and Dad, and what they were.
After their deaths, Auntie raised and cared for me,
as if I was her own son.
When I got old enough, I decided to travel, like my dad did.
After about 20 years, I returned home, to the place I was raised.
The house was destroyed,
and there was no signs of Auntie of any kind.
The country was in the middle of a civil war.
Thousands were dead, and millions were homeless.
Enraged over what happened,
I immediately decided to bring an end to it.
I went to work to bring a peaceful end to the war.
How exactly I went about it, I unfortunately cannot remember.
All I can remember is that I was successful.
Afterwards, the people of the war-torn country were so thankful,
they appointed me their king.
I worked hard at rebuilding my new kingdom.
I even allowed the homeless to stay in my castle.
I'm not sure how long I will reign,
but I will do my best to keep peace in my kingdom.
Throughout my reign, I have taken a few "leaves of absence."
For example, in the 1500's, I fought in feudal Japan,
fighting both along side, and against, Nobunaga.
I also fought in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars in the United States,
the European theater during World War II,
the Korean War, where I served as a field medic,
and the Vietnam War.
If you think I love to fight, you'd be wrong.
To say the least, I'm "war weary."

For anyone reading this, the above tale is for role play only. In real life, I was born in 1976. The main reason I joined Gaia Online was to make friends. I had hoped that I could also be like a big brother or uncle to those younger than me, give them someone to look up to, or talk to if they just needed some one to talk to or vent their frustrations.
