hello i am kefkadragon. i like video games and soccer. I'm completely crazy. My slime is named Howard. He is from the region of Farebury. I've spent way to much time playing rpgs. If you need to know anything about dragon quest 8, 9 or rogue galaxy, I'm pretty much your guy. I also know large portions of final fantasy 12, fallout 3 and new vegas, fire emblem awakening I'm also obsessed with FMA and weird al yankovic. Nightwish as well. I'm currently addicted to xenosaga.
lmao i don't remember either..... it took me like 3 years to figure out how to play the game properly (i was still a gamer noob when i started and honestly i didn't like the game at the time lmao) so the plot has always been muddy for me :''''') game tells me i have to meet so and so person and i can't remember why nor do i really care....... i thought there was artwork of balthier in his judge armor (i thinkthis might be it but i'm not sure if it's official or fanart. still p cool tho) but he'd probably look p bangin in formal wear
oh yeah i agree that the game has it's flaws. but i have seen some people s**t on the gameplay itself bc it drags on and it has a bit of a different format than the prev games. but yeah i agree vaan is a terrible main character. he doesn't really contribute to the plot once his story is done with. balthier had more at stake than vaan and penelo did. i hope i didn't sound like it was your favorite game LOL i just meant someone who at least enjoys the game in some way xd
Testament to what a great vocalist Khan was. Shame he left. Tommy is good but Khan was on a different plane. For all my complaints about Kamelot his voice certainly isn't among them. Mixing on/sound of Symphony X albums, ahh, I can go on and on about that. I complained about Michael Romeo's guitar tone and the cheesy synths on the early albums, but the later albums, while the mixing is nice (I love how I can hear Jason Rullo's bass), are compressed to hell and back (pun intended--that's the title of a Symphony X song off the latest) and the lack of dynamics makes the longer, more proggy tunes a tough listen. sweatdrop I need more bombastic power metal myself, thinking of getting back into the genre but looking for newer stuff. Gloryhammer are fun but I sometimes want something more noodly. lol
Lol I like all three of them, no argument there. wink I cop to listening to Nemo 400+ times in one month at one point in my life.
I do not know a parody artist better than Weird Al, tbh. Sometimes someone will come up with a better parody for a specific song, but overall, he's the best. lol
Pat Benatar is cool too.
Yeah, the Symphony X/Kamelot comparison isn't exactly fair (they do things very differently) which is why I said I was messing with ya. wink I really much prefer the former but to each their own.
That's them. That's Paradise Lost you're describing, and one of my favorite albums (together with The Divine Wings of Tragedy). It's loosely based on John Milton's poem of the same title, which in turn is based on the story of Adam and Eve (and God and Lucifer/Satan of course) but at the same time the last album of theirs I really loved.
All the gloom and doom stuff you describe seems to be coming mostly from Iconoclast though. Not that I'm pretending Russell Allen is a great lyricist (the lyrics on Iconoclast are downright terrible) but the bulk of their stuff is mythology and theater and literature in general.
(And I'll have to say, Kamelot aren't Bob Dylan either wink)
I was messing with ya. Sort of. ;P
I do vastly prefer Symphony X to Kamelot, but I'm not gonna pretend that the past two albums weren't mediocre (generic dark doom metal? sounds a lot like Iconoclast, sadly).
