Stuff To Know About Kaze.

As many of you may know, the About Me section of my profile has long been overdue for an update. So, I have finally set time aside to rewrite it and give all of you a more up to date and in-depth section about me.

Now then, where shall I begin? My name is Phillip, though most family and friends have called me Trip all of my life, which has always been my nickname since birth. I'm a child of three, all of us boys. Poor mom. *Shakes head.* I am the middle child of the trio, and I believe this little saying I penned sums it up nicely: "If I mess with the little one, I get grounded. If I mess with the big one, I get pounded." Mind you I was a little kid when I invented that, I've grown much larger and stronger since then. Muahaha.

My parents have brought me up under strict supervision and have taught me to be respectful and polite in as much as possible. Most of my family is of the Christian faith, and we're always glad to share our faith with someone if they're interested in knowing more. I've felt a calling on my life by God to do something, I just don't know what it is yet. However, I'll keep working hard and striving towards finding that purpose someday, and when I do, I will meet it by whatever strength He gives me.

There have been numerous occasions where I came extremely close to dying and vanishing from the face of existence, but I'm still alive and well, thanks be to Christ for that. I suppose that in a strange way, my many encounters with near-death experiences has given me a greater appreciation for life. I'm currently a freshman in college right now, working on an Associates in Arts degree, majoring in History. After two years here at the local college, I'll transfer out to a four year school and get my BA there. Where I will go, that has yet to be determined. All I do know is that I will end up wherever my heart is.

I'd like very much so to tell you all about me, my positives and my negatives (especially the positives *cough*), but I'm afraid I can only do a little. After all, Proverbs chapter 20, verse 6 proclaims, "Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man?" In other words, most of us like to brag on ourselves to others, boasting in pride. One thing you'll learn about me is my constant wrestling with trying to be humble and meek. Not to say that I've mastered them, far from it. However, I'm working steadfast to better myself in those areas and others with every passing day. Without boasting in myself, I will try and share some other attributes pertaining to me. I tend to be a very naive and innocent at heart sort of person, which I'm told is especially rare for a nineteen year old guy in today's world. Which does make for some interesting situations, let me tell you. *Shifty eyes.* Some friends have noted that I have a sharp intellect and a witty personality, two things I'm quite fond of. Although... I tend to overuse puns. Eheh. My friends and family tell me I have a great sense of humor, which is undoubtedly one of the things I enjoy the most. Nothing makes me happier than bringing a smile to someone's face and knowing I helped put it there.

On a more serious note, I am a very loyal and devout individual. I have the belief that if you're going to do something, you do it with all of your strength and give it your all. Stubborn and persistent, that's me in a nutshell. Heh. When I see people hurting or just plain ol' sad, it makes me want to comfort them. As such, I've developed a strong sense of compassion and sympathy towards those in need. Inasmuch as I'm able, I'm always here as a chest to sob into and a shoulder to lean on. Because for me, everyone in the world is more important than I am and holds far greater significance. It is my personal conviction that you cannot fully appreciate how beautiful and fragile life really is until you come to understand that you should view all other forms of life as more precious and dear than your own. I'm primarily referring to people, just so you know. Nature is wonderful as well, but human beings are most important. I try my best to be a peaceful individual, always saving force as a last resort. However, if a loved one or someone dear to me is in danger, woe be it to the fools who intend to harm them. Enough said.

I guess the most outstanding attribute I have is my loving nature. For those of you that didn't know, Phillip actually means loving, lover, etc. Essentially, the name revolves around the emotion of love, which I happen to find quite fitting. I'm not that male protagonist in romance novels, girls. Just so you don't have any grandiose imaginations about me. But, for what it's worth, I do tend to be doting and caring when it comes to nurturing a person and being there for them. Ironically, I haven't had a very active love life. And by that I mean I've only been in three relationships. As for my love life right now, I consider myself single, but taken. I doubt it takes a rocket scientist to decipher that. If there is ever anything I can do to comfort or help a person, I'll do my best to meet their need and be there to help.

Now that I've gone and drowned you in all of the philosophical and spiritual aspects of who I am, I suppose you're wanting to know what this fellow looks like, huh? As of now, I'm about 5' 10" tall. My weight is somewhere between... 170 and 180 lbs. right now. I admit, I could stand to lose about 5 lbs. in my stomach and tone it up better, but for the most part I am fairly fit. I've always had brown hair, which I brush straight back. Fun fact: nothing, and I mean nothing but water is ever allowed to touch my hair. Oh yeah, baby. I have some fiiiiine hair, let me tell ya. ;3 My hair is my pride and joy. *Coughlamecough.* I jest, seriously. My eyes are a coloration of brown and green, which gives them a distinct marsh like color. How's this for a pickup line, "Hey, baby. Look into my eyes and just let yourself sink in." Yeahhh... I uh, wouldn't actually do that. I value my face not being ferociously slapped. xx; Oh, and there's a little bit of blue that runs around the edge of my eyes, giving them a nice shimmery effect. I know it sounds as though I'm embellishing my eyes, but I'm being honest here. @@ I'm not the most tan individual, but I'm taking that back up now that the Fall semester is drawing to a close. I've gotta be ready to strut my stuff for the ladies in Spring and Summer. *Sarcasm.*

Ah, what an excellent time to inform all of you about yet another fun fact pertaining to me: I'm really freakin' shy. Seriously. I've had a girl swim up to me in a pool before and I turned into a human submarine, and then I made like a German u-boat and beat a hot path out of there whilst remaining unseen to the naked eye. Again, I'm not exaggerating here. How lucky for me that most girls I come across seem to think my outrageous case of shyness is absolutely adorable, which then causes them to take an interest in me. Curse you, irony, curse youuuu! Dx Also, I'm not that big a hit with the ladies, just so you all know. I mean, I have the potential to be, but none of them have yet been able to catch me and take me back home with them. I'm quite the escape artist, you see. And when I go into my extreme shy mode, I'm like a ninja riding greased lightning: so fast, you never even knew I was there.

As for hobbies, I'm quite the collector. I've been collecting / building models and action figures since elementary school, a hobby which lives on today. I have collected some plushes, but not of anything childish or lame. *Shifty eyes.* My Pokemans... let me show you them. Moving along! *Jerks camera away from previous statement.* I absolutely love to go bowling. I've been in a league for eight years straight and I've never missed a season yet. In the past, I've been invited to participate in the Junior Olympics; I was asked to bowl on the US team and tour Europe. Funny thing is, I had no clue the Olympics recognized bowling as a sport. So suck on that, all of you bowling-haters. *Sticks tongue out.* I didn't go, though. I was too busy at home. xx; Just this past year, I was invited again to a national tournament to be held in Buffalo, NY, but I had to miss this one as well due to college starting shortly thereafter. Ah, well. I'll get my chance someday. Swimming happens to be another big hobby of mine. Sadly, I seldom get to swim anymore due to my bashful nature. Which is why I'm begging my parents to let us have our own pool. << I'm also an artist, though most of my work is hand drawn and done with pencil. I never really got into painting and such. Another hobby of mine would probably be Japanese Animation, or Anime for short. Man cannot live by mecha alone, but with super cute anime girls as well. *Ermcough.* In my spare time, I play video games of various sorts and I hang out with my buddies when none of us have class or work. They're all a great bunch of guys and gals, in spite of the fact that each of us have our quirks. But that's what makes hanging out together so fun. *Nod.*
