Hello Gaians,

My name, IRL, is Kate (if the username didn't give it away). I am mostly blind, and chatspeak drives me nutty because my computer has a hard time reading it. I'm in my late twenties and a perpetual student (normal, sane people would have finished school and gotten a job by now). I am a graduate student of linguistics, and am easily distracted by languages.

I'm easily distracted by books, as well, and love to read. I consider myself a writer and hope to get something published eventually. I'm pretty artsy, in general, actually, having taken up, at some point, music, pottery, origami, drawing, and painting Warhammer miniatures, but have also, at some point, dropped most of them, too. I also like to roleplay (of the paper and dice variety).

There's an imaginary swift fox running around in my head (my daemon, if you're interested). I find it useful to think in dialogue. My mind is also populated by a plethora of different characters who flit into and out of existence depending on what writing and/or roleplaying I'm doing at any given moment (though, for the most part, they are good and quiet).

I like to think of myself as quirky and eccentric.
