About
About me?... I frequently walk into oncoming traffic because I'm too busy thinking about nothing in particular. I blog about the "nothing in particular" that I think about so frequently, and illustrate the vagueness with variously styled pictures and photos. I feel my blog is accomplished because my blog has 6 subscribers, and to me that's awesome seeing as I started out with none.I frequently have little pep talks with myself. They're usually along the lines of "It's ok to suck/be lame/you totally bombed that joke and no one laughed/other".
I drink a lot of smoothies that I make at home. Sometimes they're healthy, but usually it's peanut butter based or coffee. I don't cook because I have a painfully short attention span. My diet consists of smoothies, salads, hot pockets, and whatever tasty dish my boyfriend makes. Sometimes I get fancy and make grilled cheese sandwiches. I do like to bake, however. MMM cookies!
My desk is always piled high with papers, pencils, fabric, plushies, and whatever sewing supplies I was using recently. My computer competes with my sewing machine and clutter for desk space.
I always plan on keeping a "reading list" of books and magazines I've read, but never get around to it.
I try to be funny, but I'm not very good at it - in fact, I'm very awkward when it comes to navigating the social world. It's kind of like minesweeper. As long as there's only a couple little flags, and lots of squares and wiggle room for errors, I can come out of a situation with a little yellow smiley. If I could discover a way to turn the awkward into humorous-to-a-lot-of-people, I'd be a lot funnier than I am now, though I wouldn't be any better at minesweeper.
I am Pagan, and have been for years. I consider myself to be a full-time practicing Walnut Witch. I own 2 tarot decks, but only use 1 of them with any frequency. I maintained personal altars/shrines from about age 14 until age 19, and have recently set it up again. I like that I have had almost all my current tools since the beginning of my studies, only adding a few things here and there.
I have a few "creepy" habits. I take pictures of dead birds. I like Blythe dolls. I collect pieces of people - a tooth here, a gallstone there. I have a collection of animal pieces as well, such as my jar full of shed cat whiskers. I very nearly added a dead, dried frog to my collection recently, but my friend flushed it before she got my request.
I have 3 cameras. 1 of them is a pinhole camera I constructed from a kit. In many ways, it is my favorite camera.
I am not a morning person. I'm sort of an afternoon person, and usually an evening person. I am most definitely a late-night person, and would probably be a morning person and the-rest-of-the-day person if I wasn't a late-night person and actually slept more than 6 to 7 hours a night.
I have 5 cats.
Things I like to do but haven't done in a long time:
Spent an entire day in a library just because I wanted to.
Had a picnic in a graveyard, or a quiet park.
Went crazy and ran around in an empty playground because I can.
Stayed over at a friend's house and talked late into the night.
I am apparently like a pomeranian. Or a sheep dog.
I'm suspicious of ice cream trucks.
Did I mention how much I hate baseball caps?
