Cabaret or Burlesque, it's all about girls on stage dancing in feathers and corsettes with boas and glitter and fishnet. What is it about the stage that all draws us all? What is that mystique that the circus and carnies hold? When I was a little girl all I wanted to do was run away and join the circus. It's all so fantastic, tight rope walkers, trapeze artists, lion tamers, hell even clowns Especially wicked clowns!!!!! With the recent influx in popularity in Burlesque it shouldn't be too terribly hard to get started. Recently bands like the Dresden Dolls and Panic! At the Disco have brought Burlesque and Cabaret to the mainstream, as well as dance troop turned pop sensations the Pussycat Dolls and those girls who do that naughty website that we all love so much, the suicide girls with their version of a burlesque show. Even a few years ago (2003) Marilyn Manson created his album "the golden age of grotesque" with this fantastic theme incorporated. Those bands are all great, How ever I am a juggalette for life!!!!!
